Ok here is one for the old timers, this is a rare video.
I am still working on rest of game, video drops off in 4th qtr I think, no available footage of that,
but the tv audio is there, and after game the HL of 4th is shown, so you get to see the kick, the other
score and int.

The pre game is Namath talking about the 2 teams.
He was right again.
It all has original commercials which are funny.
Notice the Cowboy cheerleaders, this was before the shorts.
Craig Morton had some injurys, and did not play well at all.

This was the year landry took over calling the plays, and had not lost until this game.
Password is..... cowboys
The Pre game-30 min

This was the first football game I ever remember watching as a kid. All I remember was crying at the end when the Cowboys lost.
One interesting tidbit about the game is the Cowboy LB Chuck Howley was the games MVP. Pretty odd that a defensive player from the losing team is the MVP.
Kind of indicates how well he played or maybe how poorly both teams played this game.

CowboysZone ULTIMATE Fan
I will have to watch the this. This is the game where I became a Cowboys' fan. I had just finished my first season on a pee wee football team. I had briefly watched football on TV before but didn't know enough about it to get interested in it. I knew the Super Bowl was an important game so as a new "football guy" I had to watch it. I didn't know anything about the two teams. I saw one team had the horseshoe and the other team had the Star. I loved the Star. I hated when they lost and I was sad, even though I had just started being a Cowboys fan a couple of hours prior to the game.

I'm glad I didn't think the horseshoe was cooler than the Star. I can't imagine being a fan of any other team.

DandyDon, this was fantastic. I had been trying for a long time to find this game, and had been unsuccessful in doing so. This was great to be able to see the game, though it's galling to see the results. All those turnovers, and they couldn't win. I wish Staubach had played.

yeah had landry went with staubach they would have won the game.
Morton had several injuries, and namath had said he had not been the same since a injury early in the season.
Both teams had a good defense and mediocre offense.

The last int by balt, led to a short field for td? or was that the last FG?
But yes balt had 6 TO's! and won.

I did see thought that green did touch the ball on the tipped pass td.

It was Mel Renfro who tipped the pass that Mackey scored the TD on. Renfro has suffered nerve damage in his hand back in 1963 when he punched a mirror after Kennedy was assassinated. It ended up causing his draft stock to slip a bit, allowing the Cowboys to select him. I don't think that Renfro even felt that he had hit it, but you can see the ball change trajectory slightly after the ball went by him. They got the call correct.

Both of the late Colt scores (the TD by Tom Nowatzke to tie the game, and the winning FG) came as the result of Morton interceptions. Just brutal.

Ok that was what I thought , imagine how the defensive players felt about it lol.
cowboys were shut out 2nd half too I think.
If landry had just put staubauch in for the 4th they might have won it.
Or if they had just ran the ball and punted could have won 13-6 or 13-9

They also mention they were playing for $15,000 the winner, loser 7500 lol
I think duane thomas base pay was 11,000 that year, lately I read with bonus etc he somehow made
70,000 and had spent it all so he asked for more money and they said no, and he went into his shell.

They didnt make much back then compared to today.
