Super Bowl XLII Tickets

When I went to the Superbowl back in 2005, I met some Pats fans in the parking lot who had been to both of the previous Pats SB's and had gotten in paying face value on the day of the game... their intent was to see this one the same way as well.

They had some sort of mystery system they refused to share with me, but they were convinced that it would work.

We all ended up walking to the stadium together, and when we got there, they said goodbye and walked over to Will Call.

After the game, we saw them again in the parking lot, and sure enough they had talked their way into some tickets!

I'd love to know their secret, but I guess they're taking it to the grave!

It probably involves knee pads :D

Hey what about Home playoff tickets if we do make the playoffs and play at home?

Do they start them out at face value at the box office?

Anyone know the kind of prices you'd be looking at to go to a playoff game?

(im such an idiot for talking like this and yes I too am guilty of looking at the superbowl tickets)

That's probably your best bet, then.

Next step... invite me!
I would love to get a group of about 10 or more together to tailgate, get loud and enjoy the game.

Thanks for the info...

There go my hopes of buying a pair of tickets...

This really Sucks!!!

What I dislike the most is seeing these folks on TV at the Super Bowl that have no clue what is going on, they are there because.... well honestly I don't know why they are there.

cause they can afford to be. : )

If I was going to hazard a guess as to how they did it... one of the guys in the group looked like he might have been autistic, and I'm wondering if maybe they used/exploited that to get some tickets.

Thats funny Hos, we chatted about that the other day.

Another option is to scalp the tickets. We ride there and Tailgate, go to a local club and watch the 1st quarter, then back to the stadium, buy from a scalper for $30 and see the rest of the game inside.

I've done that for Yankee playoff games.

That may work, but I wouldn't count on it.

In 2005 in Jacksonville, there were thousands and thousands of fans there who didn't have tickets that were just hanging out and partying and tailgating.

I have a feeling the demand for tickets, even after halftime, would still be pretty high. I'd bet you'd still have to pay several hundred bucks at that time.

Since you're in Arizona, a better strategy might be to fish around for people in the area who will be getting corporate tickets and won't have a fan affiliation for the game.

At the Super Bowl about half the people there are fans and the other half are there simply through connections and corporate hook-ups.
Unless Pittsburg's playing, they'll somehow get 50,000 of their fans in there, it's really annoying.
