Before I list my picks I will say that I am doing this with the hopes the Buffalo Bills G Andy Levitre is our top off-season target.
1(18) Sheldon Richardon 6'3" 295lb DT Missouri- Maybe the most explosive DT in a deep DT class. His lack of experience is a concern but his athleticism is worth the risk.
2(~50) Travis Frederick 6'3" 338lb C Wisconsin- The Badgers are an NFL OL factory. Frederick is complimented by coaches for his ability to recognize defenses and lead the OL. He has the strength to start immediately, and his shotgun snaps are consistent too.
3(~82) David Amerson 6'2" 194lb DB NC St- He has struggled in man coverage giving up big plays which has led to his drop. His lack of elite deep speed hurts him too. When the ball is in the air, he attacks it like a WR. He is excellent in zone coverage, his ability to read a QB and break on the football is amazing. He played safety in HS and I think he would be a great ballhawking FS in the NFL.
4(~114) Kwame Geathers 6'5" 355lb DT Georgia- Maybe not a typical Kiffin DL, but I want a dominant DL. One could argue that Geathers was a more disruptive player this year than 1st round prospect Jon Jenkins. As a 1-gap player Geathers has the strength to command double teams, and the height to disrupt passing lanes in the middle of the field.
5(~146) Menelik Watson 6'5" 320lbs OT Florida St.- He has the size of an OL, the hands of a boxer, and the feet of a basketball player. He is from England and was originally a college basketball player before switching to football. He will be a hot name around draft time, but he has literally only played football for 2 years (1 at a community college and 1 at FSU). Someone may take a risk on his athleticism, but I think his lack of experience will cause him to fall.
6(~178) Brad Wing 6'2" 197lb P LSU- I know, a kicker. But would you trade a 6th round pick for a young Mat McBriar? Because thats the way I view this pick. Field position is a huge part of the game.
There it is, tear it apart.
