Before I list my picks I will say that I am doing this with the hopes the Buffalo Bills G Andy Levitre is our top off-season target.

1(18) Sheldon Richardon 6'3" 295lb DT Missouri- Maybe the most explosive DT in a deep DT class. His lack of experience is a concern but his athleticism is worth the risk.

2(~50) Travis Frederick 6'3" 338lb C Wisconsin- The Badgers are an NFL OL factory. Frederick is complimented by coaches for his ability to recognize defenses and lead the OL. He has the strength to start immediately, and his shotgun snaps are consistent too.

3(~82) David Amerson 6'2" 194lb DB NC St- He has struggled in man coverage giving up big plays which has led to his drop. His lack of elite deep speed hurts him too. When the ball is in the air, he attacks it like a WR. He is excellent in zone coverage, his ability to read a QB and break on the football is amazing. He played safety in HS and I think he would be a great ballhawking FS in the NFL.

4(~114) Kwame Geathers 6'5" 355lb DT Georgia- Maybe not a typical Kiffin DL, but I want a dominant DL. One could argue that Geathers was a more disruptive player this year than 1st round prospect Jon Jenkins. As a 1-gap player Geathers has the strength to command double teams, and the height to disrupt passing lanes in the middle of the field.

5(~146) Menelik Watson 6'5" 320lbs OT Florida St.- He has the size of an OL, the hands of a boxer, and the feet of a basketball player. He is from England and was originally a college basketball player before switching to football. He will be a hot name around draft time, but he has literally only played football for 2 years (1 at a community college and 1 at FSU). Someone may take a risk on his athleticism, but I think his lack of experience will cause him to fall.

6(~178) Brad Wing 6'2" 197lb P LSU- I know, a kicker. But would you trade a 6th round pick for a young Mat McBriar? Because thats the way I view this pick. Field position is a huge part of the game.

There it is, tear it apart.

Nice write up. Huge fan of the top two picks. I dont think RIchardson falls to us though. Frederickson is a guy I think would be a great consolation prize if we dont land one of the top two guards this year. Amerson would be a steal in the third.

I like your #1 and #2 too. Amerson doesn't thrill me, but Watson would be a steal in the 5th.

Good job.

1(18) Sheldon Richardon
He would be the perfect 3-tech for Kiffin. My concern is the reports of character issues. I'm not sure what they are, but he would need to check out clean in that area. The Cowboys can't afford to get into those types of distractions again.

2(~50) Travis Frederick
Good. A player with the ability to player Center is a must-have in this draft. Centers are never available in Free Agency.

3(~82) David Amerson
Interesting pick. He might be great in this role.

4(~114) Kwame Geathers
I need to rewatch some game footage of Geathers. I recall thinking that he was slow footed which would not be a fit with Kiffin.

5(~146) Menelik Watson
Good pick if available here. He seems to be moving up the rankings.

6(~178) Brad Wing:mad:

Richardson's character issues are overblown. He blew off a class or two--guy doesn't like school but loves football. I wouldn't be concerned at all about him.

Super early? You're 3 weeks late! :laugh2:

I'm digging your mock. I think Amerson might actually do just fine at CB in a Tampa 2-type defense.

I'm probably influenced by the success of the Seahawk's D, but I'm starting to like bigger corners more and more.

Brad Wing is from Dallas, and a huge P1. I'd be on board for a 6th, no earlier.

Trade down about 10 spots and grab a 4th along the way.
1- DT Shariff Floyd
2- DE Datone Jones
3- S Tony Jefferson
4- OG Alvin Bailey
4- OL Braxton Cave
5- OT Brian Winters
6- WR Chris Harper

If trade down 10 spots we better get more than a 4th..

You could trade #18 and #114(4th) for #28 and #60(2nd).

OR

You could trade #18 for #21 and #117(4th), #149(5th).

Dont think they take Geathers

I don't see them taking him either but interesting pick none the less.

Instead I could see them taking a 4-3 DE type... 6'4 270 and runs faster than a 4.7 forty.
