If your a QB with a top 5-10 defense and these guys around you and can't make it to the Superbowl you need to be benched!

Agreed???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

RB: Ezekiel Elliott
TE: Jason Witten
WR: Amari Cooper
WR: Michael Gallup
WR: Randall Cobb
RT: La’el Collins
RG: Zack Martin
C: Travis Frederick
LG: Connor Williams
LT: Tyron Smith

P.S. We talking players here don't fall back to excuse city with JG as we won with Switzer we can win with anyone folk's.

Now all we gotta do is hope for those crucial bounces that always seem to derail the season

SURE..thats it.. forget health, forget bad calls, forget ginger head coach, forget rookie playcaller, forget Witten is a year removed from retirement...

Super Bowl or bust. Just stop with this, this type of talk makes Cowboys fans look horrible.

All teams have injuries but anyway here you go bud seems you Dak-Lovers will like this edition....

This team honestly does have as much talent locked up in key spots as we've had since the mid 90s. However, I truly do believe that getting to the playoffs and especially the mid to later rounds of the playoffs, we'll continue to get outclassed and outcoached by the best teams. I firmly believe there is a ceiling with Garrett. We saw what has happened against the best QBs and coaches many times over (most recently as McVay and staff absolutely ravaged JG and co last year).

It's depressing but I ultimately believe it is our reality until Garrett is gone.

can it over come coaching not in regular season but playoffs and in NFCCG at critical moments?

....there is always the denominator called "Luck". It plays in everything. Though, talent is a good start. ..;)..

For bottom line/no BS guys like myself the entire season truly rests on Dak and Moore’s shoulders.
Agree with everything said here.

Super talent does not mean Super Bowl. They can still screw this thing up, royally.

The headline assumes this is the most talented team in the NFL and will therefore, win it all. I do not agree that it is the most talented and think coaching is as much a part of the team as the players. Unfortunately, the Cowboys management does not agree with that.

The talent is there. The coaching is not, especially at the top. Hopefully the players can overcome it.

Last year this team was 8-2 in one score games, which is highly unusual. If we regress to the mean, making the playoffs may become a problem.

I'm not seeing this overwhelming talent some of you guys are.

TE: Jason Witten - Legally dead lmao
WR: Amari Cooper - Good, but not great, career so far
WR: Michael Gallup - 2 career TDs, unproven
WR: Randall Cobb - Looked washed up in 2018
LG: Connor Williams - Got benched last year, unproven
LT: Tyron Smith - Has been great for years, but has missed 9 starts over the last 3 seasons, pushing 30

Sure, if the team has a rash of injuries, especially to key players, then yes, the expectations would have to change.

But that's really the only excuse at this point. This team has to make a run in the playoffs now. There are no excuses. The Cowboys didn't HAVE to have a rookie play caller, but they chose one instead. They continue to employee and defend the HC, so you can't use that as an excuse.

They are now paying 6 players in the Top 3 of their positions - T Smith, Elliott, Lawrence, Frederick, Martin, L Collins. So you can't argue talent is an issue.

The decisions this owner has made the last 8-9 months absolutely demands expectations be high for this team.

My expectations are NFC Championship. That is realistic and anything short of that would be a failed season.

Super Bowl expectations are only talked about by our fans.

But you can do this with any team. There is no perfect team out there.

Take Philly............. they have questions at LB and CB, especially if Darby is hurt. They have questions at the two OG spots, especially if Brooks has issues with his foot injury. Peters, their start LT, is old and has shown signs of wear and tear and also missed some games.

The Cowboys are one of the more talented teams in the league. There are ZERO excuses now for this team not making the playoffs and making a playoff run.

If they don't (barring a rash of injuries), then something is wrong. The HC needs to go. Or the front office got it wrong spending a crap ton of money on people they might not have needed to.

You have to be overly pessimistic to deny this teams talent and pretty much ignore the holes on the rest of the NFL teams.

You named our WR's and Julio Jones, Antonio Brown, and Deandre Hopkins aren't winning championships.

TE? One of the worst positions in the league for all teams. It's a bad TE league. We could do worse then what we have.

Tyron will probably miss games this year but he'll be elite when he does play.

Connor Williams? If thats our big weakness we'll be just fine.

It comes back to coaching. This is a young talented roster.
