Just wanted to pass this on to those who like me decided to throw a hissy fit at Directtv over their latest upping of the renewal fee for Sunday Ticket.

I called with the usual spiel - long time customer, get real, most of the games will be on the NFL network soon - if you make me cancel I go straight to cable, Sunday Ticket is the ONLY reason I stick with your sorry only-a-few-HD channel service.

and got the $ 99 SuperFan package for free, tho they did not reduce the ST price.

it may work for others..

PS To a certain super mod recently wed - congrats to you - I wish you all the happiness that married life brings. but if a few years down the road, your spouse decides football is taking up too large a part of your life together - SEEK A LAWYER.

the best i could do was to get a $120 discount on the NFL Sunday Ticket. so in a sense i paid around $120 to watch every game from the comfort of my own home. i can live with that.

I had to fight pretty hard just to get the Free Superfan too. At first they offered 6 months of $10 discounts, but that doesn't even cover the cost of Superfan.

I'm amazed at how much stuff some people can get, but when I call they're very stingy.

Of course I'm still not convinced I'll get anything. I've learned that just because they tell you you're getting something doesn't mean you really are. And the "notes" they're supposed to keep that say what they promised you have a convenient way of disappearing.

Think I posted this already but a while back I called in and told them I couldn't have service cause I was moving and such.

they offered me quite a bit. $75.00 worth of programming not sunday ticket....sucks but okay cause they offered free moving, free DVR or HD upgrade and the 75 bucks can go to that. Also offered superfa.
