frankly the Wonder Twins appearances was one of the reasons why Legion of Doom was a whole lot better than Super Friends
as they were a ton more interesting than " Fred and Daphne " .characters

(thanks i couldn't even remember their names as they and that mutt- dog was so very booring ... lol )

And the villians in Super Friends could not come close to comparing to what Legion of Doom ( i almost said " Boom" ) brought to the ABC's Super Friends/Justice League cartoon
franchise series .. not to mention the new " addition " of JL members such as Black Vulcan, Apache Chief, Hawk man, Samurai ..even Flash and Green Lantern
who i cannot recall at all in Super Friends.

In fact it can be debated that it was the Challenge of the Super Friends (not original Super Friends) that spun the WB's launch of Legion of Doom- a series that also
put much more light (and appeal) on the arch villains of the Justice League of America

Now here's the bigger twist ...it can also be debated that some of the Marvel's characters .... were spun off from the DC's characters.
Dunno how it never became copyright legal battle.

Namor the Submariner - from Aquaman

Hawkeye -from Green Arrow -

Quicksilver - from the Flash

Vision - from Martian Manhunter

Gladiator (Imperial Guards) - from Superman

Blizzard - from Mr. Freeze

Man Thing - from Swamp Thing

Orca - from Black Manta

Tigra - from Cheetah

Black Widow - from Catwoman

You're wrong about a few of those. Just the first one itself is a good example. Namor, the Sub Mariner came out two and a half years before Aquaman. They both ripped each other off over the years. Marvel just happened to be better at writing more developed, three-dimensional characters for the longest time.. It took DC a long time to learn that or Marvel wouldn't have gotten such a big market share.

There were outliers on both sides, sure...but it was far from just one side ripping off the other. DC would be dead now without Marvel and Marvel would be dead without DC... each one saved the industry at various points.

Off-topic but I wanted to give props to two comics institutions: writer Chris Claremont and artist John Byrne. Both were instrumental in taking a decade old middling single title, The Uncanny X-Men, and transforming it into a multi-title, comic book industry behemoth that has spawned billion dollar combined movies, television series, merchandising, etc., juggernaut. Byrne reset the Superman legend, making the character much more relatable to modern comic book fans. There are scores of contributors in the industry, who have done great work inside and outside DC and Marvel, but there would be a huge hole in fans’ hearts without these two creative geniuses.
