I would characterize the Cowboys as a number of superstars with a mediocre group of players at the "non-glamor" positions. This is Jerry Jones' business strategy. When superstars are lost, they collapse because the mediocre players cannot win without them. Franchises that win consistently have fewer (perhaps better) superstars (e.g., Patriots with Brady) with good players throughout the rest of the roster. Only if Brady is lost do the Patriots start losing. We need stronger players throughout the roster. We need a team not just superstars.
