Because of this tradition to wear White at home, it also allowed Dallas to wear White at any visitor stadium, because the home team wears their colors. Back in the late 70's and 80's (think Staubach, Danny White, etc), when the Cowboys wore their dark color uniform they lost. So it was kind of bad luck for them in those years. Even now it is pretty rare to see them in the dark color uniform.

The real reason the blues have been thought as a jinx goes back to SB V. Dallas was the home team and wore blue that day (the NFL required it or the Cowboy would have worn white) and lost a crazy game to the Colts. Another reason is because the blues were worn so infrequently during the 70s and 80s that losses in them were magnified, but there were some awesome victories in the blues like beating the Rams in the 1978 NFC Championship game:D

Hollywood Henderson tells a story from that game in his book, "Out of Control".

(a book was never more appropriately named)

On one of the kickoffs, I think it may have been the opening KO, not sure. Anyway, we were kicking off, and Hollywood was standing right on the sideline beside Ray Malavasi. He says, "hey Ray, watch this", and proceeds to run down and cold-**** one of the Rams with an elbow up under the chin.

Malavasi was screaming at the refs to call a penalty, but none saw it.

Hollywood got a big kick out of that.

Hollywood was a GREAT, GREAT player, and a great kid, .. but drugs consumed him and ruined his football career.

someone will eventually show the results that show there is no curse to the Blue's........

I will however never ever EVER forget a loss in their Blue's VS The Eagles when i was a kid......the game called "the Blue Jersey game" in which I still hate Wilbert Montgomery.
