The NFL has said they will hold one in July, but so far no players have signed up to be in it.

I have to wonder given the resignation of Jim Tressel at Ohio State and the 5 game suspensions those players might be facing if some of them won't declare.

Any of them interest anyone?

they only guy I would be interested in is thier Center

Brewster

I see this kid as the next Mangold

Yeah, he kind of piques my interest.

The center seems to be the only one I can think of that is of interest.

I will also say that I don't know if some of them will declare for it just because of the suspension and the coach going.

However I could see Pryor possibly getting the boot if they keep investigating because that kid is likely going down in flames with the current thing with the cars on top of the other stuff.

Only thing is I don't want the kid.

Actually I didn't. Did they mention this?

Yeah they spent a couple minutes discussing Tressel resigning and whether that might prompt the suspended players (or others) to enter the supplemental draft.

Personally, I wish they would just do away with the supplemental draft. Seems like a waste of time most years.

Seriously. Just add an 8th round.

That's not really the point of the supplemental draft. It's not an extra round, it's an extra opportunity for players that missed the deadline to declare, so adding an 8th round, wouldn't help.

As far as any Buckeyes going into the draft, I'd really have no intrest, mainly because Brewster would likely play out the year and still be the first interior linemen taken in 2012.

The supplemental draft is made for special cases for players who didn't declare to make themselves available prior to the deadline.

It's not supposed to star-studded affair every year.

It serves a purpose.

A deadline is a deadline. If you miss it, enter the following year.

Yeah, how else are players that get suspended during the Summer by the NCAA supposed to get drafted?:D

If you're suspended or ineligible to play the next year, you would want to make yourself available for NFL employment.

Get over it.

I wonder if Posey WR would come out

DeVier Posey, WR, Ohio State
Height: 6-2. Weight: 213.

Projected Round (2012): 3-4

throw a 5 rder at him

a nice addition

Michael Brewster, C, Ohio State
Height: 6-5. Weight: 293.
Projected 40 Time: 5.08.
Projected Round (2012): Top 25 Pick

but I think he will go back but its hard to say

boy what would you offer for a 2 rnder

I just watch 2010 Rose Bowl OSU againest Oregon

I see why you like LaMichael James*, RB, Oregon - Hos

Brewster stood up Bair most of the game - but their is no stop to Bair game - I saw him in the back field a couple times

UDFA - Brandon Bair DE Oregon 6-6 #275 - he was playing NT againest Brewster - I don't think he missed a snap in the whole game - has a none stop motor

None of those players are expected to go early in the supplimental draft if they declare for it. As for Pryor, in a year when so many teams still need QBs, they said some team "might" risk a 6th or 7th round pick to bring him into the fold and see if they can develop him.

I don't see anyone from Ohio State going before the 5th round in the supplimental draft.

They won't make much money; unless strapped for cash, most of them should go back to the college ranks and play football at a lower level where they'll be eligible.

If Jenkins CB from Florida declares and you can get him for a mid rounder, I'd give it consideration.

Character concerns, but I really can't see how much worse than when we drafted M.Jenkins.
