From what little I saw of Blue, he couldn't break a tackle.

That I think is his biggest red flag...he always seemed to find contract...then the 1st guy would always bring him down. Thought he would be a little stronger

Blue is a shocker

Not really, Davis is the 2nd best back on the roster. Blue is just a guy with some speed, and the NFL has a lot of them.

This isn't a draft. They have to go on the 53; you can't put them on your practice squad.

Is they're not proven and healthy to some degree, no thanks. Just keep your own cuts you like.

No one said Davis wasn't better fit to be the backup currently. Many teams keep 3 RBs and Blue is still 22 and has shown more than just speed. He's shown some ability between the tackles. Not to mention pass catching, screen game etc. I would have thought they'd stay with his development a bit longer and could've used him in packages this year too. So yes it was a surprise to me.
