If the top CBs are off the board I would not be surprised to see us go best available player at 22, and that being OG Brandon Albert, then cornerback at 28, WR or RB 2nd round and WR or RB third round... 4th safety, trade 5th for Pacman... 6th and 7th round best players available...

What I'd like to see happen... Albert, Cason, Rice, best WR available, Zbikowski, Pac man, best NT available, developmental QB...

If the Giants could plug in Ahmad Bradshaw as their backup RB with a late round pick why spend a first round pick on a RB???

Any RB could run behind a line of Adams, Albert, Gurode, Davis and Colombo...

The Steelers would be PISSED... word is, that's who they're lookin' real close at, to replace Faneca...

the guy could very easily be the best linemen in this draft. Guy is incredible and I could only imagine a line of Adams-Albert-Gurode-Davis-Columbo.

He's a stud, no doubt about it... I think our first round picks could be used better in other areas, but I won't get upset if the Boys go this way...

Not if we take him at 21. Apparently Joe Bugel loves him, but I doubt Joe has much say in the draft room.

I think DL makes more sense for y'all, but I keep hearing Limas Sweed's name mentioned for the Skins at 21...

I'd hate that, being a Horns fan who wants ex-Horns to do well in the NFL... I was pleased when Derrick Dockery moved on...

would you stop whining? guess you're right anything is not possible. i can't believe you're arguing with me about if us moving up to get mcfadden is even possible now. you gotta really be stupid to not even think it's possible. hell half the people that don't want mcfadden don't want him for the simple reason it's a possiblity that we could get him.

my being a "buzz-kill" to your MCFADDEN MCFADDEN cheerleading isn't whining dude.

is it posssible? sure. is it likely? no. would it seriously hamper our efforts in other areas? yes.

i don't want him cause i'm already sick and tired of him and that's not even his own fault.

If we take a freaking Guard at #22, I will puke my guts out.

Me either...and with all the teams who build great OL's without using high picks on OL's (including our great teams of the 70's and 90's) I dont see why anyone would think otherwise

"Wow, that's an awful idea."

Bradshaw was a lucky pick. Sure, the Giants had probably done their homework on him, but do you really they knew how he would turn out. Far more players picked that late bust than start. But, it's not like Emmitt was a 1st round pick.

Kosier is average and gets one more year on the team as Albert learns in practice and preseason... if Albert is ready trade Kosier... if Albert is athletic enough he could compete for a shot at right tackle next year... WR is not yet a pressing need, a third round WR to groom will be sufficient, we get our backup RB in round two... safety to replace K Davis, plus we get two CBs better than Reeves and N Jones.. developmental QB and practice squad nose tackle...

all the more reason not to take a guard in the 1st rd...get those players in other rounds, especially when there isnt an issue at the position right now anyway

drafting interior OL in the 1st rd is almost never good value for any team, and considering our current team now it'd be terrible value

Taking an OL in the 1st couldn't even be considered a value for this team. IMO, you shouldn't take OL in the 1st unless you desperately, desperately need it.

I disagree wholeheartedly with this statement. You don't draft a WR the year that you need him, you draft him a year ahead of time. WRs seem to have the longest transition time into the NFL of any skill position. Draft him before you need him so he's ready WHEN you need him. You think Crayton could have filled in as well as he did in his first year in the NFL?

The Terry Glenns and Randy Moss' of the world are the exception not the rule. Look at least year's highly touted "next Randy Moss" in Calvin Johnson. This kid had everyone believing that he was going to come into the NFL in Mike Martz' pass happy offense and light things up. Simply put: It didn't happen. Don't get me wrong I have no doubt that Johnson will be a good receiver, but ten to one says he'll be twice as good in his second season as he was in his first.

I totally agree, I'd only consider it if we really needed a LT, and we dont

If OL is the best value at the postition we occupy, the I think we should take an OL. Guard/Center would be OK with me if the best player on the board plays that position.

If we are targeting Brandon Albert, I would try to trade down pick #28 for a low 2nd round pick.

Might be a solid pick, but the one thing it would NOT be is a WOW pick. There is no such thing as a WOW OL. If you pick #1 overall and take an OL, it's still not WOW.

this person never saw erik williams play vs reggie white. anybody who saw that had to say wow at how he destroyed reggie each and every single time they played.
