Well..I have no idea what happened but I think we made a huge mistake not trading up or just staying at 10 and missing out on him.

LBer was a clear need but Sustain is going to be missed.

Overall..I just think this was a poor decision not to make sure we would get him and stop the leakage in the secondary.

I am curious about what you guys really think about that non-selection of Surtain.

Would have had to trade up to #6 considering CB’s went to Carolina and Denver.

It would have cost at least our 2nd this year as well as #10

we cant stop the run at all and a corner isnt going to help that....if we had WFT dline i would trade up in a heartbeat for a corner like him

but imo no one can really get mad at getting a LB because all 3 levels of the defense last year were terrible

nope no way trade up would have been prudent..Parsons will have an impact every bit as much as horn or surtain just in another postion..

I heard the cowboys were trying to trade up to 6th but cost was too much. neither panthers or denver were going to trade with us, because they both coveted the two CBs...panthers would have lost out, knowing denver probably would take surtain. Denver wasn't going to trade down and miss out on the player they coveted.....too bad for us...imagine if we would have lost to SF if they had Grapolo not injured...then we would have been 5-11 and had the pick we wanted.
