on the FA signings. Not just the Cowboys, but with the league.

After so many delays to the start of FA, I figured that a lot of teams would have time to finalize their wish list.

Anybody else surprised?

no typically around 4 p.m is when you start hearing names.

they have to fly in and meet with teams, so everything is hectic at this point

Yhea, I am surprised!

I dont think I can recall a time it started this slow.

I am suprised how locked down and silent it seems at Valley Ranch. I am sure they are working hard, but usually we get some kind of idea what is happing there a few hours into it, but NOTHING!

Very interesting!

That is my point as well.

Again, not just with the Coboys, but with the whole league.

I'd be more surprised if there was a windfall of immediate signings. After all of the uncertainy of the past couple of weeks, both on labor and management sides, I think it's only the fans wishful thinking that a long list of people aren't signed already.

Only a fool FA would sign within hours of free agency starting.

So get some sleep people, it's not going to be rapid fire as you'd hope for.

Reliable source or rumor? :D

A rumor, pal, but from a guy whose rumors were pretty spot-on last offseason... the guy claims to have a contact who works out at Valley Ranch, but of course is refusing to name names...

Among the other rumored hot targets for the Boys this offseason that he passed along are K Ryan Longwell, FB Jerald Sowell, and one of two FS's, Marcus Coleman or Lawyer Milloy...

I like the thought of Fabini, Longwell and Sowell, but the two safeties are a bit long in the tooth for my taste... however, I could see a scenario in which the Boys brought one of them in on a 2 or 3 year deal, then drafted a safety to groom fairly early on...

That same source is now saying that Fabini left Dallas without signing a contract, and that Adam Vinatieri and Steve Neal will be visiting Valley Ranch in the next coupla days... Longwell is still due in tomorrow (if this guy isn't completely FOS)...
