I don’t think you see as many threads bc we have all crossed this bridge weeks ago. We already know we have a soft bellied defense

No one is over looking this horrific defense. By now, we all realize the offense has to carry this team. So when the offense doesn't perform well we generally lose. Because we know and expect the defense to be putrid. We knew that coming into this season, when they didn't address the DT position or the SS position.

Yeah cuz if the Lions had any kind of passing game, they would of killed us.

we won't have to worry about the QB scramble in the next game so the defense doesn't have to plan for that (which bit us in the *** several times v. Detroit)

Different line different quarterback different game. But I do believe we will get 3+ sacks and/or a lot of pressures. And I dont think anyone can deny that he(Drieskel) is 10x faster than stafford and we would of got more sacks.

We’ve moved on for 23 plus years. Some of us like pointing out the obvious. We quit drinking the koolaid years ago. Just moving on hasn’t worked out so well. We can’t do anything but try to embarrass JJ at this point by all means necessary.

The Saints was the defenses best game. And yet I do believe that if Brees was playing instead of Bridgewater that the "Bend but don't break" scheme they used against the Saints would have resulted in Brees making them pay by getting the ball into the endzone. Don't care what their ranking is. Until they can more consistently force 3 and outs, punts before field goal range is reached and get more turnovers then they aren't good.

At the risk of stating the obvious, that was a blow-out, of course, if not for the fact that the defense couldn't get off the field against a back-up QB and a pisspoor running game.

yeah that is due to they won the game.
The defense as a whole did not do that good considering the team they played, but
Lawrence had a good game, and quinn bennett and maybe the DL as a whole did good,
but it was the secondary, the LB , and the ST's that played poorly, and thompson heaths replacement
did really bad.
The weakness going to NE is the defense and the above parts of it, not the DL.
