Two comps I like for either player are Surtain-Byron Jones and Horn-Janoris Jenkins.

If this comp was to hold true, which CB would you take? Essentially, Jones vs Jenkins.

Surtain/Humphreys and Horne/Ramsey are better comparisons. I would love either player.

Jenkins in my opinion was the better player in his prime as he was a legitimate ball hawk, but not sure Horn would be that with just two career interception. Actually think Kelvin Joseph is more the Jenkins comp on and off the field.

Jenkins was a gambler - Jones would rather be assignment sound. Plus and minus to both.

Not to slight Byron, but I don’t think “technician” like a lot of people describe Surtain when I think of Byron’s play style. Very good player, just not the right player comp in my opinion.

It’s tough because my gut reaction is Surtain= Revis and Horn=Talib...now obviously that is absolute best case scenario and it’s probably not realistic to make those comps at all.

Horn= Darius Slay
Surtain= Tre White

Might be a more realistic version...both bringing a little more size.

Surtains resume is much better. 3 years of great film.

Horn is more flash this year. I love that Horn will talk crap. We need that lol

I see a lot of Nnamdi Asomugha in Surtain. Folks forget that before going to the Eagles, Asomugha balled-out in Oakland.

I was actually going to say this as well...just assumed it wouldn’t have gone over well.

Casey Hayward was the other name that came to mind

What about mental comparison?

Same combine numbers and both play with a chip on their shoulders. Horne is probably faster while Ramsey has him by a half of inch.

Physically, sure. Skill wise? Not close.

I don't remember the last elite corner from Alabama and they always have a ton of players drafted in the 1st round.

I think Surtain is a safe type pick at 10.

Horn is his inferior and would be a settle situation vs Surtain.

Find a pass rusher you're comfortable with and make the choice.....someone you're ok with at 10, but if you deal down and lose him, so be it.

They have really forced drafting for need on themseleves.

I will never forget how the coaches already celebrated that he will join the Cowboys until they found out that he actually went to the Eagles. :muttley:

Jenkins vs Horn
Height: 5'10 vs 6'1
Weight: 193lbs vs 205
Arm Length: 32" vs 33" arms
Vert: 33.5" vs with 42.5"
Forty: 4.46 vs 4.30 (pro-day)

They are physically quite different. I would say Horn is similar to Aqib Talib and Surtain is more similar too Richard Sherman. Of course these guys are two of the modern greats so take the comparison with a grain of salt. It's more in terms of size, style, and athletic profile.
