Escobar was another TE drafted in the 2nd round that completely failed.

Yep, and a little annoying 3 of the next 5 picks have seen pro bowls. But honestly I was advocating for Quinton Patton at that spot so I have no room. Those that wanted Bell, Allen, or Mathieu? They got beef.

In all fairness, Escobar is just coming back from injury. Regardless, good to see the coaches show faith in Swaim's improved play.

Whoever is the #2 TE will just be a bit player so I guess they like the one that can block. We can draft as many tight ends as we want, until Witten can no longer walk, he will always be the security blanket that Garrett and Romo trust.

They just haven't used him enough. In 2014, half of his catches were TDs.

Not surprised, Escobar is limited. He has had 4 years to become a better blocker. Move on.
