I like Swaim more then a lot of people do. At Texas, the QB play was so widely inconsistent that it's hard to judge any of their WRs or TEs. The stat line looks bad when you see targets vs receptions but it's hard to catch when the ball is sailing 6 inches over your head or you need a short stop mitt to field the ball.
I think he has a chance to be a really good TE for the Cowboys.
He was a much better blocker in college than you would expect by just looking at him.Looks kind of thin to be an immediate contributor as a blocking TE. Likely a cheap replacement for Hanna in 2016.
Thanks for the post, Fuzzy. Good to see Swaim video.
The Cowboys have a nice track record of identifying and developing TEs. So, I trust the Cowboys might have found an unpolished diamond.
Texas quarterbacks have been an embarrassment to football since Colt McCoy left.
It is not just the QB position that has been a problem at Texas. The whole program has done less with more talent than I thought possible. It seems like highly recruited players go there and and never reach their potential. It has been said that the players are soft and I agree. It is s culture problem .
