Swirling Winds at Vet

Tony Romo acknowledged that the swirling winds in Philadelphia were part of the reason he had a lower completion percentage.

"It was a tough day out there,’’ Romo said. "The wind played enough of a factor where just to complete balls down the field was going to be a little more difficult. Even when we did well it was swirling."

"In the middle of the field you can feel the right to left wind as it gets down there. I threw one to Dez (Bryant) on the sideline where it came off my hand nice and everything and at the end it drifts right. When you get down to the end zone it switches completely and goes the other way."

It's interesting, I was in lower level midfield seats and didn't feel even a light breeze. The top of the stadium has mini windmills on each end and one end was spinning while the other was perfectly still.

Well, at least we won't have to deal with any wind problems (or poor weather) for the next 3 weeks. I guess domes do have some advantage.

As I recall one end of the stadium - I 95 side is open. Do you think that could create any wind tunnel effect ?

Uhmmmm what about the week before? 1/2 of his throwing problems are between his ears, come on Tony, suck it up. We can't afford another showing like the last two.

No matter what Romo does or how good he plays, you will always something to bash him. Team won last two games but all you could say is just horrible Romo is, smh

I remember some talk about the new stadium being more of a cold weather stadium with the open end - kind of like Gillette. I'm not sure how that would have favored a finesse team like the Eagles when it was built, other than having local knowledge of the conditions. I've only been there in the Summer for a U2 concert and it was a pretty still day.

Impressive that he was throwing at The Vet while they were playing at The Linc. Obviously now I know why Romo was off on Sunday. He wasn't even on the same field.

I saw U2 there as well. Probably the same show.

Thats the one. Good Show. I had GA tickets but didnt know about the "red zone" vip section so was just outside the circle. Had to go early and stand for a long time to be up close.

Lacking knowledge, lacking class...setting this poster to ignore.

It's the Linc - Lincoln Financial Field.

Thanks . MY mistake..... So used to boys/ iggles at Vet I inadvertently used that instead of lincoln financial
The current home of the Philadelphia Eagles.

I use " Iggles" as I was born in Phila. And thats the way it is pronounced with a Philly accent.

Typical Faux-Mo being a choke artist, any real ELITE QB would have been able to control the weather and stopped the winds during passes.
