Cowboys select: Ryan Switzer, WR, North Carolina
A very similiar player to current Cowboys WR Cole Beasley, Switzer is a slot WR with tremendous return ability. He's likely to replace Lucky Whitehead as starting returner.

Word in local NC media is that he is very cocky and self-confident. Thinks he can do anything. His teammates did not always like him because he wanted the ball all the time. Will be interesting to see how guys like Witten and Dak manage him. He no doubt makes the return game lethal and if his personality can be managed, he will be very fun to watch as a slot guy.

Well lets be honest do we want guys that don't want the ball? He is a smallish town kid from WV I'm sure he will find his place.

Maybe replaces Dunbar too?
Partially. Dunbar lined up at WR multiple times last season. Those snaps plus the snaps that Lucky played on offense should go to Switzer.

Dunbar was also a really good blocker despite his size (Much better than Morris). Those duties will likely go back to McFadden.

That is usually better than a guy that does not care. Different position, but Felix was never great because he was content to just share carries despite being a young first round draft pick.

I am sure he has a chip on his shoulder. For a guy at his size, he better. I am sure he was told he was too small to play at division one a lot while in high school.

Yeah I saw a mention that he can be difficult. Whatever that means.

LOL. You're a 5 foot nothing white guy. Shut the piehole and be grateful you're even in the league.

I have watched highlights of UNC today and Mitch Trubisky owes this guy his draft slot. Due to slot receivers being hard to value draft wise, he might be seen as a reach by so-called draft gurus, but I predict he will be a killer on screens and yards after the catch. He also is a polished route runner. And, he is a wet bar of soap on kick returns. He is good for 3 returns for TD this season. Dez better be ready to share catches because Dak should love this kid.

Is it possible that Garrett is now going to go the two slot receiver set ala the Patriots? Maybe Garrett saw what the Pats were able to do with their two little guys and is following suit, the Pats slot guys tore up that ATL defense in the SB. I know that Garrett at one time tried to do the two TE offense that the Patriots run but we all know how that turned out.

That reminds me of another short white dude that sported a beard all the way to the SB last season. ;)

And? I remember what Michael Irvin said, and I paraphrase: "Some guys don't want the ball in crunch time. They're scared of the moment. They don't believe they can make the play. They don't want the pressure." Those guys you don't need or want on your team. You want the guys - like Irvin - who say during crunch time: "I want the ball. Get me the ball. I WILL make the play."
When it's 1:15 left in the game and you have to go 80 yards for the win, you want guys like Switzer on the field.

To be accurate, "he's a wet bar of soap on punt returns;" according to what I read, he wasn't on the kick return unit.

In one of his interviews he made mention of hoping to help out in Kick Returns as well but that would be knew for him.

Kid does not lack confidence at all. You could tell that by his interview with the dallascowboys and 105 the fan guys.

Don't know if that will move over to being obnoxious or not but I imagine the members of the offense will like it for the most part and straighten him out if he goes over the line.

They'll probably just let McFadden do it or pick up a 3rd down back after all of the cuts happen.
