Switzer

So? You think Switzer would be doing well as the Cowboys #1 or #2 WR? I don't. He is a 4th or 5th option guy and would be doing about the same as Austin is doing for Dallas. Austin isn't the problem.

People are just pissed b/c we collect JAGS and let one get away.

So Ryan Switzer caught a TD pass........ But he is just a bum and we couldn't have used him. Much rather have a bunch of receivers that can't catch or score a TD.
This is one of the most ignorant posts in awhile. 1 TD pass doesn’t make a good WR. GMAFB.

He is on pace to have more TDs then Julio Jones has last year........Perhaps you should try to comprehend my comment before calling someones post ignorant cause it's clear you missed the point.

This just re-enforces what I said.

Isn't Tavon Austin fulfilling the Ryan Switzer role? And producing more in that role? People always seem to forget that Switzer was only a rookie last season and most rookie wide receivers rarely have an impact. They also forget that Switzer missed most of training camp and pre-season last season. Bill Belichick probably would have cut a rookie who didn't practice or play in the pre-season.

Austin
5 targets
5 receptions
81 yards
2 TDs
3 rushes
34 yards

Switzer
6 targets
4 receptions
23 yards
1 TD
3 rushes
13 yards

The entire Cowboy organization should be ashamed and embarrassed by the numbers Tavon has put up this season. He's been targeted (5) times, caught all (5) & scored on (2) of the (5). They clearly have a valuable weapon that's not being invited to the fight. Right or wrong, they found a way to force feed Dez the ball last year so they have experience doing so. It didn't work because they said that Dez couldn't get separation and wasn't running crisp routes. So now, they have a guy who can clearly get that separation and a guy who is more advanced in his route running skills yet they haven't given him, even, 10% of the opportunities that were given to Dez. Just confirms that there are a lot of 'smart' coaches on this staff.

Austin has 1 reception that skews his recieving skills in his favor. Outside of that switzer is as good or better and certainly cheaper. Both are being used in similar ways around the line of scrimmage and both are doing ok. Switzer is better on ST and austin has the ability to play RB effectively. Good for both of them.
