Sword Art Online

Anyone a fan? My wife and I were recommended this show by a friend of mine, so we turned on episode 1, and well, it's now 4am and we're 9 episodes in. Oops.

Such a great anime. If any of you are anime fans or even gaming fans in general, you should really check this show out. The first 2 seasons are on Netflix. The 3rd season comes out next summer.

If any of you have seen it, tell me how much more awesome it's going to get! No spoilers though please.

I mean it is not a bad anime, but I will never understand why so many people think it is a great one.. Attack on Titan is definitely better. That said I love the more Americanized anime, if you want my suggestion then look at one called Ergo Proxy, it is dark and sparse but I consider it pretty much one of the best I have ever seen.

That's funny, because the same person that recommended it to me also recommended Attack on Titan, Ergo Proxy, and Magi in the same breath.

I may give Sword Art Online a try. Usually something in a series description or a preview will catch my attention. I've seen commercial teasers for SAO many times on Cartoon Network but they haven't hooked me yet. If SAO is as good or better than Fate/Zero or Fate/Stay Night/Unlimited Blade Works, I'll kick myself for skipping it this long lol!

Attack On Titan is another of my favorites but not as much as Blood+, Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood, etc. If SAO is at the level of AOT, I know I will enjoy it a lot.

All I can say is that I'm typically not a fan of anime, mostly because there's so much awful anime out there. But this show I started last night with my wife and we're on episode 15 already. We WERE going to go do stuff today, but SAO happened.

It's kinda reignited my desire to watch anime. I've always been a big fan of Studio Ghibli. Attack on Titan and Magi are on my list already.

We will definitely check Ergo Proxy out.

not a fan, but my husband is. he likes anime.
