Sympathy for McNabb? Ah ... no
Popular local question:

Did you feel just a little bit sorry Monday night for McNabb, you know, considering everything, and him being a class guy and all?

Answer:

Hell, no.

First, he plays for Philly. Second, his second-quarter moon walk in the end zone was right out of the T.O. touchdown celebration handbook. Third, remember a year ago at Texas Stadium, when the Eagles were blowing out the Cowboys on a Monday night?

McNabb and T.O. repeatedly staged a mock feud on the sidelines, playing to the cameras.

What goes around, comes around.

No sympathy here for McNabb, but I do like him - somewhat - for the the fact he is one of the few tough-guys left at the QB position.

Tough-guy? I wouldn't exactly call him a tough-guy...he always limps around until he makes a play, then you wouldn't even know he was injured, all of the jumping around he does. The guy is an actor, playing to the camera. Schmuck

I agree, anyone with a bad "hernia" would not be able to do that leg kick he did before his dance. It would have been hilarious if he had reinjured it at that point and missed the rest of the game.

That moon walk episode bothered me as much as Culpepper's crap. You don't see Bledsoe doing any stupid dancing around. Like it's been said before, "Act like you've been there before, and you'll be there again."

I wonder why he and TO could not get along, they both like fancy end zone celebrations.

Agree 100%. I have always admired McNabb but I lost respect for him on Monday. He acted like he was drilled on his attempt to tackle Roy W. on the interception return. The guy basically tripped and rolled over and then has the nerve to act like he just sufferred a major blow. He was hit way worse than that all game and was running like a champ. I guess it's time to limp when you feel the game is out of reach and you just thew the losing interception.

EXACTLY!!! Well said. He knew he just blew the game and thought he had better limp out of there.

He wanted the Eagles fans to think more "oh no we just lost our QB" rather than" he just single handedly blew our season"

Sort of like when deion got burnt by Moss and he acted like he tweaked a hammy

what about the sideline shot of McNabb jumping around signaling McMahon to spike the ball after the deep throw that was incomplete...... I think he was faking a bit.... even looked like it in the post game interview when he finished talking and stepped down from the mic........

OK folks. Time to stop saying that McNabb was faking injury. Jameswoods -- I already told you that you were wrong -- why do I have to keep doing so?

The guy has a sports hernia -- any freaking contact hurts like crazy. He didn't get hit hard but landed awkwardly. and he came back in the game. He couldn't get any zip on his passes or accuracy with them. If you think Don chose to pretend he was hurt rather than take shots at redeeming himself then you are just nuts. and ignorant.

He got hurt. With the Eagle season hanging in the balance, he couldn't go on the final drive. He's out for the Giant game as well. He may have to hang it up for the season.

I don't think any one is saying a sports hernia does not hurt (at least I'm not)...BUT it seems to flare up more with mcnugget whenever something bad happens.

That's why Michael Irvin was hated around the league for doing his emphatic First Down signal.

That's why the people in Philly applauded his injury.

That's also why people in Pittsburgh applauded Deions neck injury when he fell on his neck in 96.

Actually, he's seeing a specialist this week because of what appears to be more extensive damage involving his groin - that would be a new, but related injury.

That has nothing to do with the hernia

huh? it seems that if you can barely walk then you are going to have one hell of a time with the footwork necessary to throw a pass.

It is easy to hate people that make you look bad then celebrate...TO, Culpepper and my all time most hated - Merton Hanks...that neck thing drove me up the wall. But when Michael did the first down gesture or Deion danced, they were just showing emotion. Funny what a change of clothing can do to a fan's opinion of "what goes over the line"

He was innacurate before the hernia.

Im not saying hes a complete puss. But he was having a great time until about mid night.

A Micheal Jackson leg whip would hurt a lot more than jsut diving straight to the ground to avoid a block(Bradie James')
