Legendary billionaire T. Boone Pickens just made one helluva prediction -- THE COWBOYS WILL WIN THE SUPER BOWL ... but it won't be Tony Romo who leads 'em to victory. The 86-year-old business tycoon was out in D.C. Wednesday when TMZ Sports started talking football -- and he said the BEST PART was having the football stadium named after him at Oklahoma State. And that's when TMZ Sports asked Pickens -- who's made a ton of solid bets in his life -- his hot tip about the NFL.

This year? No. I can't see them winning with Weeden at QB.

However, the youth on this team, especially the offensive line, gives me hope that maybe it's built to last/contend for a while (with a few more parts added on defense), even if Romo is not the QB.

Well, I think Tony Romo is certainly capable of winning a championship, if he playes the right kind of game. Tony has to learn to trust the OL and the run game a little more in crunch time but he has the intelligence and he has the physical tools to be a championship QB. In spite of what some may think, I actually like Romo a lot. He's everything this country should stand for. A guy who has done it with hard work, the right way. A guy who never gives up, a guy who plays through the pain and the difficult times. There is a lot to like about Tony Romo. For me personally, it's probably more personal frustration, on my part, because I see what he is capable of if he just takes the next step in his evolution as a QB. It's hard for me to watch when he is not successful because I am always expecting that this will be the moment when he does become a championship QB. I do look at the Washington game and think, there was another opportunity for him to show that he is that QB.

The things that make him great are also the things that could hold him back but I do believe he can be a championship QB.
