TJ Bass is just an UDFA, and I didn't really notice him until after the Cowboys drafted him. I was watching the game and Bass just seemed to jump off the screen to me, especially on run plays. He opened up HUGE holes. The hole Dowdle ran through near the goal line was such a huge gape, you could have driven a truck through it.

I'm not worried about our offensive line depth, because, to me, it looks like Bass can play any position on the line. I'd hesitate to play him at LT, but I can see that guy playing any other position on the line. What a find. Love the guy's attitude as well.

Lots have banged the table for a new running back. I think that's a mistake at this point in the season. We've got guys who can play the position. Dowdle is no slouch and I think he's somewhat overrated. His explosiveness looks impressive out there. He makes quick, instinctive decisions. My favorite call of the game was probably when MM went right back to him after Dowdle's drop in the flats.

Right now, the thing I'm most worried about is depth in the secondary. I guess we'll see how that plays out. But Gilmore is certainly underappreciated. Every CB gives up plays. So I don't see why some need to bag on him so much. Lewis was also banged up.

The health of your team obviously matters. So, let's all hope Gilly and Lewis are OK and able to get back out there next week.

Any updates on their status is appreciated.

Yep Bass has been a pleasant development. Those are big shoes he is filling.
Absolutely. I think it comes down to his "I just want to learn and get better" approach.

We did play Washington that had already given up over 2,000 rushing yards before the game started.

Best our running game has looked in quite some time. Coaches and scouts always looking for the quick feet. Give me mean nasties, I think that can work just as well.

Hey I tried to tell you guys that both bass and Hoffman plus I'm gonna add in Richards but all have some skills that people are underrating but in that thread that said that Zach Martin wasn't gonna play and that Tyler Smith was out everyone was worried I said dude I watched these guys play we had one of our best run games in Arizona with three offensive lineman out and when I saw them play they actually have something everyone's all worried about the offensive lines future all they need is playing time and this game gives me a lot of confidence that both bass and Hoffman can play... And I'm also telling you that when I look at Richard's I see a very raw and green guy but he still has a very close likeness to the body and the playing style of Tyler Smith..

I really enjoyed Hoffman. He hustled too and was helping RB get more yards. He definitely has a nasty attitude. The Commanders were getting tired of it. Haha
hey go check out the post I said before the game that Tyler Smith is out post and people are like I rather see Edoga play guard over Hoffman, I say hey I watch these guys playing I've seen something good these are very much similar to they hate that Terrence Steele was getting early on as an undrafted free agent it took some time but the man before his injury turned out to be great or at least solid and everyone underestimating these young guys before the game and I said hey remember the Arizona game that was one of our best run production games and we had three backups in they have a skill set and we have some future lineman sitting right here on this team and add in Richards I like his body type he's just really raw right now but I think he's got a little something too..

Him and Bass may battle for the starting C gig next year. Assuming Biadazz is not re-signed.
I believe Hoffman is the more natural center but both of them have played pretty well in spot duty this year and I don't know why people were all that worried... And I said that before the game not after the fact I like the way they played in Arizona even though we lost that game it was one of our best games for run production all year long and today again seemed like we ran better with the backups it's really odd but it happens...

You mean since the last time they both played in Arizona like I said before the game I hate to toot my own horn but the last time we had this good running game from my memory was when we had three backups and against Arizona... I think the better point to make here is everyone's worried about the future of the offensive line and I think Hoffman bass and Richards all have something... Once they get playing time and get comfortable I think that we have some young guys on the up and coming just like we did inSteele that nobody had any faith in pre injury..

Man it would be nice if Bass could lock down that LG spot for cheap for a few years.

Kick Tyler Smith out so LT.
It's nice to have the option of playing Tyler Smith at LG or LT in the future.

I don't know if Tyron Smith is returning next season (contract voids). But everything I've heard this season has the team wanting to keep Tyler at LG long term instead of LT whenever Tyron walks away.

If Tyler sticks at LG, T.G. Bass could be the eventual replacement at RG whenever Zack Martin decides to retire (contract currently voids in 2025).

I know Bass is also learning center and may be an option there depending on how things shack out during the off-season.

I haven't heard anything about extending Tyler Biadasz and can't help but wonder if Dallas opts to go cheaper there with multiple big money deals upcoming elsewhere.

Hopefully, Bass and some of the other young OL prove to be keepers.

We need OL and RB in the worst way

We were playing the backups of one of the worst defenses in the NFL when even they had already given up

Way to over react Batman
