Before people get too enthusiastic we were playing a really poor dl this game
How about that and they got us the division championship and the number 2 spot after the marathon that is the 17 game season.

TJ Bass is just an UDFA, and I didn't really notice him until after the Cowboys drafted him. I was watching the game and Bass just seemed to jump off the screen to me, especially on run plays. He opened up HUGE holes. The hole Dowdle ran through near the goal line was such a huge gape, you could have driven a truck through it.

I'm not worried about our offensive line depth, because, to me, it looks like Bass can play any position on the line. I'd hesitate to play him at LT, but I can see that guy playing any other position on the line. What a find. Love the guy's attitude as well.

Lots have banged the table for a new running back. I think that's a mistake at this point in the season. We've got guys who can play the position. Dowdle is no slouch and I think he's somewhat overrated. His explosiveness looks impressive out there. He makes quick, instinctive decisions. My favorite call of the game was probably when MM went right back to him after Dowdle's drop in the flats.

Right now, the thing I'm most worried about is depth in the secondary. I guess we'll see how that plays out. But Gilmore is certainly underappreciated. Every CB gives up plays. So I don't see why some need to bag on him so much. Lewis was also banged up.

The health of your team obviously matters. So, let's all hope Gilly and Lewis are OK and able to get back out there next week.

Any updates on their status is appreciated.
T.J. Bass will allow the Cowboys to allow Tyler Biadasz to go in free agency. Next year's O-line could by Tyler Smith, La'el Collins, T.J. Bass, Zack Martin, and Terence Steele - 3 undrafted players starting on the offensive line with 2 first round picks.

So, you think that Collins will sign with Dallas?

Hey I tried to tell you guys that both bass and Hoffman plus I'm gonna add in Richards but all have some skills that people are underrating
I've been leading that change for a long time. They Cowboys have a some quality depth! I got laughed at this morning for saying Ball and Richards were future starters. Bass and Hoffman impressed today.

That being said, I'm not sure what the plan for ROT is. Steele will be better next year getting further away from his injury. Can Collins get quality snaps? Hips are a concern. Perhaps slide Richards?

Bass looks like a pro, for sure. Rico too. We keep getting blessed with solid UDFAs. Gotta imagine that's McClay and his team.

Man it would be nice if Bass could lock down that LG spot for cheap for a few years.

Kick Tyler Smith out so LT.
Yeah that may be a viable plan. I do wonder if Tyler is truly a guard or a tackle. He's shown to be a strong pass blocker, decent run blocker, but still strikes me more as a finesse blocker built to take on speed rushers and less of a mauler you see from guards.

Funny how both Pollard and Dowdle ran their best all season in a game that we are missing our 2 top OL, would have never thought that, lol.

Wouldn't shock me if Bass takes over for Martin next season. Thinking Martin is a lot closer to the end than most people realize.
