If we could trade down and grab him, that would be ideal. Considering how weak this draft is at WR, I wonder how we could go, realistically.I want them to trade back a little and take him. He is well worth the pick and the extra pick.
I just watched the draft show and I see they are 10 toes down on Tet. They made sure all the other Cowboys prospects were drafted before the Cowboys were on the clock. With everything we know about Courtland Sutton would you take Sutton at 12? Because that's his real comp......not Mike Evans
I don’t love Jeanty at 12 but if we take a RB not named Jeanty at 12 I’m throwing my TV out the window.I just watched the draft show and I see they are 10 toes down on Tet. They made sure all the other Cowboys prospects were drafted before the Cowboys were on the clock. For me make it make sense. To draft a receiver like Tet at 12, he would have to be featured in this new offense or he would be a waste. A running back would actually make more sense.
I don’t think Tet is special. I actually believe Hampton will be way better in year one then Tet would be for the Cowboys. The consensus ratings is not what the scouts believe. The big top draft nicks Mel and Jeremiah have Hampton as a top 15 prospect while Tet has fallen into the 20s.I don’t love Jeanty at 12 but if we take a RB not named Jeanty at 12 I’m throwing my TV out the window.
Passing on Tet (9) to take Hampton (30) would be up there as an all time draft blunder which is saying a lot for us.

Yeah I'm not taking a Courtland Sutton at 12. He might be a first rounder but not that high.I just watched the draft show and I see they are 10 toes down on Tet. They made sure all the other Cowboys prospects were drafted before the Cowboys were on the clock. For me make it make sense. This is exactly correct. Because we fail to put forth the effort on improving our team by signing 2 or 3 quality free agents, whomever we select at pick 12 will be somewhat of a disappointment, because the argument will always fall on whether we should have taken another player to fix a position of need. Coming into the season, most fans would agree that DT, RB, WR were amongst our top 3 position needs, with OL, CB, and OL also in the mix. Can anyone say that the free agents we picked up improved any of these positions, or will replace anyone above them on the depth chart?I just can't get excited about this. It's just more of the same from this front office. They'll run out a bunch of nice skill guys and then their defense will suck because they have JAGs and bums playing at DT and LB.
My rant is more about how stupid they are in FA. You sign a guy like Poona Ford at DT instead of a washed Solomon Thomas and then suddenly taking McMillan at 12 is more exciting.
I will go ahead and say it. I don’t think Tet is better than what we have at the receiver position already. To be honest this whole reciever class is bad. Golden has the best chance but I am not sold on him either.Yeah I'm not taking a Courtland Sutton at 12. He might be a first rounder but not that high.
He's in the final year of his deal.......30 years old in October. His market value per Spotrac is $26.6M.With everything we know about Courtland Sutton would you take Sutton at 12? Because that's his real comp......not Mike Evans

We’re not getting anyone special at 12 in this class…not happening.I don’t think Tet is special. I actually believe Hampton will be way better in year one than Tet would be for the Cowboys. The consensus ratings is not what the scouts believe. The big top draft nicks Mel and Jeremiah have Hampton as a top 15 prospect while Tet has fallen into the 20s.
Mel and Jeremiah have insider/scouting connections. The god father of the draft has a highly paid staff to scout for him. Mel has been pumping up Sanders for two years now and he is probably doing a solid for Deion. Jeremiah used to scout for the Ravens and has many friends in the scouting business. Those guys no more than random draft nicks. I love Dane but he doesn’t even have those connections. I think it’s a good bet that Hampton goes before Tet.We’re not getting anyone special at 12 in this class…not happening.
Whether you agree or not a majority of analysts have Tet quite a bit higher in rankings. Even if the tags were touching you take the money positions 10 times out of 10.
Also - do we really think Mel is grinding over tape at this point in his career? Dude has Sanders QB1 which is laughable to me.
Sure, I have a lot of respect for DJ just don’t put much stock into old man Kiper these days outside of his mocks. But again a majority of rankings have Tet higher.Mel and Jeremiah have insider/scouting connections. The god father of the draft has a highly paid staff to scout for him.
