Can we expect to see this again and maybe a reverse or a pass to him?

One more complaint, how come we dont let the former QB Crayton throw a WR pass?

That's right up there with, why do we run (and fake) a reverse with Key?

He tried last year and was intercepted.

The Crayton play is definitely in the playbook... I remember it from last year. I would expect Newman to run that reverse that Glenn ran at some point, and then also an option of the quick hitch at the LOS or fly, based on coverage. Lining up both Newman and Glenn on the same side and making the safety choose to cover one or the other could also be effective with their speed.

According to DC.com, we will be seeing more Newman at wideout. Imagine a four-wide set with Glenn and Newman streaking from the slots and Crayton and Keyshawn on intermediate routes. Even in an obvious passing situation, you have two burners to account for, which will create problems in the defensive backfield.

Newman draws a lot of attention because of his speed. He may just be used for now to keep the safety from sneaking close to the LOS. It opens up the running game. Think that is the reason we used it on the short yardage run.

Also gives teams something to look on game film. Possibily setting up for a flea flicker somewhere down the line if the safety sneaks to the LOS. :)

wait until the playoffs. we'll save some trickery for that. these 3 weeks will be used to set up somethin big in the playoffs
