Chicago does not have the QB to be a serious passing threat- and if our pass rush is good enough no threat at all. Same with the Giants and Miami. St Louis is the team that could really burn us. Bulger and some VERY GOOD WRs.
i agree.

Wow, you are saying without your best corner that you can defeat Chi-town and/or St Louis? Both of those teams are tremendously talented. Giants though, I've already put my 2 cents about them and Miami still has some great talent on both sides of the ball. Chris Chambers, Ronnie Brown, Jason Taylor just to name a few. don't underestimate them!
Why couldn't we? We're still a talent-stacked team without Newman.

People are freaking out about the Texans game, but there were basically two drives in which we "game-planned" the Texans -- the first defensive and offensive drives of the 3rd quarter. What was the result? Essentially a three and out for the Texans and an 86-yard TD drive by the Cowboys.

I kind of feel like this. NY has Plaxico who is having back problems and Toomer - sit him and hope for the best.

If you win and the CB play is decent sit him for Miami.

If you happen to go 2-0 thru that and he needs more time then you have St Louis. If Holt is healthy, (which his knee is still bothering him) then you better be ready for a shootout and I think our offense can play ball with theirs - sit him again.

Chicago - Sit him again - put pressure on Grossman and he is going to give you a couple of Turnovers.

Lets say worst case you went 2-2 and Newman was then healthy, i think it would be worth it.

FWIW-Sam Madison and Will Demps may not start in the Giants' DB, so if anything evens out, Romo and our O could have a field day.

As for Miami, I'm not so concerned too much about their O, it's their nasty D. What if they start the game by forcing a couple of early TOs in that humid, steamy weather?

And as for St Louis-they have NO D. If this game turns into a shootout, I favor us on the long end of the stick.

If he cant go...we might as well talk about Next Season
I'd hope the head coach we hired because of defense wouldn't lose the season because of a CB being out for two or three games. I also don't understand people being worried about it right now anyway.
