This is the 3rd game (That comes to mind) where T-New gets a pick at a pivotal point in the game. This last one could arguably be said was the final dagger in putting away the Jets but my fave was the one against our biggest rivals, the Commanders!!!

I'm expecting big plays from T-New against the Pack and I've been holding back for some time about him. He is really growing into that play maker we always knew he would be.

Man I'm so excited about our chances at whipping Brett Favre Thursday:starspin:starspin:starspin:starspin:starspin

I have noticed that Newman, Henry and Reeves on occassion, are making way more breaks on pases than in previous years. I think this has all to do with the defensive style we are playing. I think Parcells didn't want our DB's jumping routes out of fear of getting beat, but Wade has put our DB's in better position to succeed. Newman is having a phenominal season.

If he makes a play against Farve I think he will be going to his 1st Pro Bowl this year.. I wish he would have picked off that Mcflabb pass.

Favre will not shy away from Newman.

The Newspaper will get his chances, and I am looking forward to a front row show by Terence!

The stats will finally get him noticed.

Sad that it takes a pick-6 for some of the media to realize TNew has been 1 of, if not the best CB in the league for the past couple of years.

I have always liked Newman for a couple of reasons.

They way he handles himself on and off the field. The way he lines up on a receiver, almost daring the QB to throw his way. His speed is great. When he made that pick yesterday, did anyone else notice how he started to jog towards the endzone. But he looked back at the receiver and realized he was being chased, and just seemed to hit another gear.

Guys, we are 10-1, first time ever, we have a chance to put overselves ahead for homefield advantage this next game, and we are the Dallas Cowboys!! Can't get much better. :)

The only thing that I hope happens is that we run the table. For these reasons:

Green Bay-Home field advantage
Detriot-Put another loss on Kitna's 10 win season comment
Philly-Just because and to help with an undefeated NFC East season
Carolina- I live here and can't stand the Panther "fans"
Washington-Again, undefeated NFC East while putting the hurt on the Skins

Do you mean three times this year?

Aside from the last two weeks, I'm blanking on his other pivotal pick.

That's a rough schedule over the next 5 games to close out the season but we can do it. The biggest test will be next Thursday against the Packers. The rest should not be a problem but division games are always tough ones.

I also live in NC but have no problem with the Panthers fans. They don't talk anywhere near as much smack as our division rivals fans do. Still hoping my son-in-law can swing tickets for us to go to the game again (we went 2 years ago). Nearly 40% of the fans in the stands were wearing Cowboys gear! That's why we ARE "America's Team" folks!

Buffalo comes to mind

Good call. I had completely forgotten that one.

He's been our most clutch defender. If he had nabbed that one versus the Giants and housed it, he'd have taken Champ's place in people's hearts by now as Champ is having a really bad year.

My biggest problem is the comments from dumb fans. Like "drugs in Dallas" but no mention of steriods during their superbowl run. Cowboys are "lucky" this year but can't explain that statement. And one of my favorites this year, "The Cowboys don't have an offense". :laugh2:

If you can get tickets, let me know, I would like to meet up with you at the game. If I come across a couple, I'll let you know. With the Panthers doing poorly this year, I bet that 60-70% of that staduim will be Cowboy fans.

I've always been a Newman fan, but have been critical in the past about his lack of ints. IMO, this is what makes CBs elite. It's not enough to give up few big plays, it's making big plays when the team needs it. And his first 2 ints, either kept us in the game, or won it, but I have to admit this last one was just to pad stats.

I have been to the last 2 regular season games. I will be at this one wearing my blue Witten jersey. Hope you and Mark will be there. I'm from WNC btw, up here in the Apps.

BTW, Newman also had the step on an earlier out pass in the second quarter, but the ball was deflected by Spears.
