I know this is just another T.O. thread but I've got to vent.

Can anyone seriously tell me we're a better team with T.O..
I thought I would be able to say yes at this point of the season, but as of now, he's been a big disappoitment.

All the off the field BS, and if you check ,he has missed more big play catches than cought them, And after that celebration yesterday ,well, That just did it for me. He knew the rules and that he was going to get a penalty but didn't care.
Self centered egotistacle jerk.

I'm sorry I cannot support a guy like this.

He may (and I mean May) play better for us in the future and win games for us, but I still will never accept him as a Cowboy and put him in the same catagory as Emmit , Troy, Michael, Jay, Darren . I could go on ,but these we're team players .

I believe they lived and breathed silver and Blue.

T.O. lives and breathes for T.O.

T.O.'s Gotta Go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

really a dumb post. no offense.

blame T.O. for all of our flaws though, if it makes you feel better.

blame T.O. for our safeties being horrible and our offensive line not being able to hold up on a field goal attempt. blame T.O. for our punter having a pathetic game sunday as well. its all his fault ;)

Dumb Post?????, Thanx.

This feeling is not from yesterdays game alone. Answer my question ,(since it's dumb) can you tell me we're a better team with him???????
And if so , explain why.

I think he is trying to say, are we the same team without him?

and if we are, why not get rid of him?

Me personally, i think we are a better team with him, but i hate his antics, it gets old

Tell you what. When Parcells decides it is time to go, he'll go.
Until that time, we must all bear and grin it.
Your post implies (and I infer) that you are blaming T.O. for yesterday's result?
More like Kosier must go. Or dumb extra-point decisions. Or a collapsing O-line before a field goal. Or, yes, penalties. Or even our secondary.
Don't make T.O. the scapegoat.
But I feel your pain, bro.

Enough is enough. With these stupid posts bashing individual players. TO gets open... he draws double teams freeing up other receivers... I can go on if you want me to. He will not drop the "big" play passes EVERYTIME. In the long run he will pay didvidends. PERIOD.

Yes, we are better.

You are aware he is near the top of the league in TDs?

He will post over 1100 yards this year at the current pace he is on. And 12 touchdowns.

There is no question this team is better with him.

They all drop passes.

of course we're a better team with him. although, I do feel your pain that was huge dropping that sure TD, but that was just one of the many mistakes the whole team made yesterday coaches included.

yes we are better...any team would be...if it wasn't for a couple of misscues this teams record could very well be 8-0...7-1....6-2 if we were any of those you wouldn't have made this thread....so yes we are a better team with him on it...what you should be asking....if our record would have been the same if Romo gets the team from day one

Ok, Ok, I get it here . When someone gives an opinion here that others don't agree with their Dumb or stupid.
Sad state of affairs. I thought Cowboy fans had more class than that.Thats why I played here.

Sorry, the fun here is gone.

Your premise has a fault. Nothing more.

You see him as a liability.

yetr his stats suggest he is an asset.

And with romo, whio is still a green kid at his position. Don't you want to surround him with the best tools you can acquire?

You think T.O. is not that at all. I suggest you review his stats.

Jackie Smith has been reviled by the Cowboy Nation for dropping a pass.

But Charlie waters recalled the instace when the team was at .500 and were playing as if they thoughtn they were great.

Smith stood up in a meeting and reminded them they needed to ramp it up or the season would be for nothing.

They did not lose again until they lost to ther Steelers.

Sort of puts a different spin on Smith.

T.O. admitted he screwed up yesterday. That is a far cry from his antics with the 9ers or the Eagles.

The whole team lost. Not just one player.

I think what happens here, is that when someone gives an opinion that others think is dumb or stupid, they call it out as such.

Everyone's disappointed in TO today - BIG time. But it's pretty foolish to advocate getting rid of him.

I don't think anyone but the players and coaches of the Dallas Cowboys can answer that.

We have no idea if he is affecting team unity and chemistry, if the endless stream of 'distractions' has guys walking on eggshells, if Parcells is so worried about him going off that he is placating him to the detriment of the team, if as Jimmy Johnson said yesterday, his mere presence results in 'lack of ability to focus'.

Or if it's 99.9% media hyperbole.

Owen's effect is more than the sum of his stats, and his subtractive consequences are, unlike his additive value, still unknown to us.

I suppose we'll find out soon enough, but right now I see it as a push.

When you make a strong statement, you might expect the responses to be equally strong. I don't view your post as dumb or stupid, but I do take issue with your interpretation.

Are we a better team with T.O .? I think so. He provides options that weren't there before. Romo seems to have a conection with him and his productivity has improved. Can it get better ? Absolutely. I believe that the offense can be more consistent and move the chains on any team in this league. Let's keep in mind that the level of competition in the NFL can lead to more than a few surprises. Parcells alluded to the surprises in his PC.

We have a largely young team with a few vets at a number of positions. At times the team does quite well, specifically in certain areas like run defense and third down execution. But the Boys struggle with play selection and O-Line development. Hopefully these are areas that will improve. We saw some of T.O's YAC production against Carolina and we also saw improved play from Columbo. In re-examining the last game, I saw plenty to be excited about. The running game can produce, Romo showed that the Carolina game was no fluke, and the Defense is stout against the run.

The Boys are still prone to the mental error and I do believe that the coaches play a role in getting people more focused. I'm not sure that Parcells has the energy to get that to happen any more. He knows his stuff, but at times I get the feeling that he's just plain tired.

Depsite this last statement, I beleive that this team has the ability and the desire to get better and win games as a result. Owens can be a big factor if the team doesn't buy into the distraction BS that is spouted by various mediots. (love that term) Howie Long was falling all over himself trying to lay responsibility for the loss on Owens. The fact is, this was a team loss and the Cowboys know it. They need to go out and execute a solid game plan against Arizona next week and work on trying to string two wins in a row. If they can show consistency, they have a shot against anybody, including Peyton Manning.
