Interview was around 3:15 est. I'm not good at recaps and he probably said the same things he said in the earlier recap of ESPN's interview, but here were some highlights:

-Explaining his postgame tears: He loves Tony Romo like a brother. The bond they have started to form when Romo was still a backup. Tony's real and not a phony and that's why he's got his back and loves him, cause Tony would do the same for him. Basically said Garcia and McNabb had their own agendas and Romo isn't like that.
-On Jason Garrett returning: (host notes that T.O. is grinning ear to ear about Garrett's return). He did everything he said he would do and got me involved in the offense. When Parcells was here, Cowboys didn't have an O-Coordinator and who does that? Every team has a coordinator.
-On whether team would have had same success if Parcells was still coach: No. Wade was the reason we had success. Every practice was enjoyable, Wade unified the team. Everyone loves playing for him.
-On health for playoff game: Wasn't 100%, but still got behind defense plenty of times. Was really aching on the Giants last series, but when he knew Dallas was getting ball back, pain went away and adrenaline kicked in. Just didn't make enough plays to beat Giants, offensively, defensively, and special teams.

He was on promoting KFC's "chicken dance" promotion which will donate money to charity in player's name who does KFC chicken dance after scoring on Sunday.

Why cant he just be the bigger man and admit both sides were wrong? It's been years dude. Get over it.

He did. See my recap in the Daily Zone.

I came in when he was talking about the "Chicken Dance" so I didn't know what that was about and didn't talk about it.

What success is he speaking of?

Winning 4 more regular season games?

Whoopee.

Exactly. That just makes it all that much worse. More was expected.

The fact that he feels the need to remind people San Fran and Philly fell off without him with a smile on his face tells me he just cant let it go.

NO,NO,NO. The playoff wins were EXPECTED of Parcells, not lovable Wade,;)

Well...they won the division and had a bye in the first round....more than we can say for the LEGEND. I was just as upset at Wade after the game ended against the G-men, but he did make the team a little better....next year it is Super Bowl or bust though.

A healthy owens, Romo with one more year under his belt and those things you mentioned still got us one and out. He didn't make the team better when it matterd most. I like the guy but credit is due when post season wins come.

He had the best team he ever had as HC.

Exactly. Those teams he took to the post season were underdogs anyway, but not this time. People need to realize, your regular season record doesnt matter. Its about being good enough to play in January and what your record is in the post season. You think the Giants would want to change positions with us cause we won 13 games in the regular season and the #1 seed?

I think that when TO said something to the effect

"all I ever wanted was to be involved in the offense and to help the offense"

THAT sums him up best.

Its a blanket statement for ALL of his years in the league.

just shut up.....

stop trying to be a complicated school girl, we were obviously better than last year, far better, sure we lost in the first game, but you cant judge that lost over the entire season, we chocked yes...but when we were on top of things, nobody could take us

God some of the people on these forums are so spoiled. I'd sure hate to see what you people would do if you were Falcons or Raiders or Eagles fans or something. You'd probably kill yourselves.

I'm beginning to have my doubts about Wade. His lackadaisical approach to coaching is why I think this team is so undisciplined. The 17th game of the season and you continue to commit ******* penalties??

Wade helped win 13 games with Parcell's players.

Wade Philips = Barry Switzer Part Deux. Except without the Super Bowl :(

I have moved through the stages of shock, anger, and finally come to acceptance. So far, it looks like the Cowboys are methodically upgrading their coaching staff. Coaches seem to want to come here and I think that says something about the organization. These hires have done a lot to allay my fears about hemorrhaging staff. We'll see how it goes from here. There's still a lot of work to do this off-season, but the organization remains committed to winning. While 13-3 still rings a bit hollow, I like what I'm seeing.

Uhhh, weren't "Parcells' players" committing the SAME ******* PENALTIES under his authoritative regime? When do you put the blame on the players? These aren't Pop Warner kids out there...they're professionals!
