In the first 20 minutes of last night's game, Owens had 3 catches for 89 yards and 2 TDs...
Meanwhile...

Witten had 1 catch for 14 yards.
Barber had 7 touches for 14 yards.
Crayton had 0 catches.
Austin had 0 catches.

In the last 40 minutes, Owens had 0 catches...
Meanwhile...

Witten had 6 catches for 96 yards.
Barber had 15 touches for 100 yards and 2 TDs.
Crayton had 2 catches for 24 yards.
Austin had 2 catches for 12 yards.

Moral of the story?

Disrespect T.O. by not rolling coverage his way, and he will eat you alive. It doesn't matter how many "star CBs" you have.

But roll coverage his way and you now must deal with the can of worms you just opened up. Witten, Barber, and the rest of the gang can and will make you pay.

We're very lucky to have T.O., and we're very lucky to have an owner willing to take chances on supremely talented players with perceived "baggage". If this season ends up the way we're all hoping it does, 81 will be a huge reason why.

We saw last season how much he's needed, especially in the post season...

Well like I said, he may not be a changed person, per se, but if he's not on our team, we would be 8-8(at best).

He brings alot to the table, that's for sure!

Edit: Watching Considine/Dawkins getting burned reminded me of when Parcells was here, and our safeties of Roy/Keith were constantly getting burned on the deep ball. Those were the good 'ole days! :)

Re-watch the Romo to Barber TD.

Owens was on the left side of the field and ran a slant to the middle.

The safety on that side of the field followed T.O., which meant the entire left side of field was WIDE OPEN. There was no way that linebacker was gonna keep up with MB III.

I'm sure he has a lot to do with Witten being wide open over the middle too.

He's more valuable to our offense than Romo, IMO.

And just imagine when Austin gets 100% rolling into the offense with his deep speed ability.

I'll say this, when Austin finally beats a couple of people deep, this offense will go to a level of incrediblness by the NFL. Everyone runs deep routes including the RB.

I dare to imagine an offense with TO-Witten-Austin & Felix on the field at the same time.
