I remember reading this when it came out, right before the season. It was laughed off by many at the time, yet if his current pace continues through the final six games of 2007, he will come very, very close to matching his claim.

Preseason Prediction:
100 catches
1,500 yards
20 touchdowns

Pace (after 10 games):
93 catches
1,645 yards
19 touchdowns

You know that that number is what he's on pace to get in 16 games, not what he has now, right?

That it is. Those are sick numbers (well, this side of Brady & Moss).

And even more amazing than that - those could be blown out of the water if he and Romo keep up their post-bye week numbers.

Pretty darn good prediction.

100 catches might be tough but possible

1500 yards, not a problem

20 TDs, very possible.

Damn Brady and Moss... if it weren't for them, Romo would be the front-runner for MVP and T.O. would be known as the best WR in the game again.

Well at least TO won't get snubbed for the Pro Bowl this year. Moss and Brady can get all the honors as long we kick their butts in Arizona!

Dallas was flying under the radar in 1992-1993. SF was blowing everybody out the water.

I have figured it out right he would need to avg.:

79 yards.......7 recetions..& 1.5 TDs to make his own prediction true. I think all have a pretty good chance of being done.

No matter what, he has had an awesome year, moreso because of the attitude he has to shut the critics up.

Actually it's more like 1.3 touchdowns a game. That's not a huge difference, but it means at least one score a game plus a second touchdown every three games, not every two games. But everything else - spot on.

Over his last four games he's averaging 7.75 catches, 143.8 yards, and two touchdowns per game.

His last five games, he has averaged 128 yards, 7.4 receptions, and 1.7 TDs and if he can maintain these numbers, he'll exceed his prediction.

I noticed this stat as well a few days ago. Looks like he will reach the goals.
