You cant catch a ball thrown behind you 2 yards or over your head by 5 when you are at full speed. I dont care who you are.

There's this player on the Cardinals.

Name is Larry something or other.

You should check him out.

And the Cardinals actually utilize him and the other 81 in their offense, unlike JG and Romo.

Warner > Romo

No question. However, I bet this little comparison will spark a few interesting replies from those with blinders on.

Warner > Romo

Romo > Warner.

Ask any GM in the NFL who they would take right now to start a franchise and you will hear the name 'Tony Romo' again and again.

And you said 'no WR' can catch those passes.

Then I gave you one who does catch those passes and you tried to turn it into a Warner is better than Romo and a Garrett doesn't use T.O. properly argument.

Another example of how the TFC members love to deflect from the original point being made so they never have to admit T.O. isn't prefect in everything he does.

It's not sad. It's not pathetic. It's not weak.

It's silly is all it is.

Warner's 37.

Of course every GM would choose Romo to start a franchise (over Warner). Warner at best has a couple of years left.

Yeah. The comparison, as I understood it, was more along the lines of who do you choose to lead your team today. Today I choose Warner. Toss age out the window. I'm not looking to build my franchise around him for the next 10 years. I'm more interested in who the better quarterback is today. That's Warner without a doubt.

I love what Warner did this season, although most of what to love was during the playoff run. He didn't look like some top-dog field commander when AZ was getting wrecked by Philly, Minny and NE near the end of the season.

A few years ago he was a forgotten man and was considered done.

So think about that before you write off Romo, who has been pretty brilliant save for a few short stretches.

You meant to say you would take Warner and Fitz. Right?

Cause without Fitz Warner ain't even in the conversation with Romo.

Now here's where you tell us T.O. is just as good or better than Fitz.

Warner is in any conversation, he's got a superbowl ring, superb career numbers and an amazing story.

Well, Romo's got two of those three.

He'll improve.

Please.

Fitz is light years ahead of T.O. at this point of their careers. Most of the high throws that Romo threw him and dropped passed T.O. had to deal with i guarantee you Fitz would catch them.

It'd be nice to be able to say "TO didn't have to worry about any high or bad passes from Romo".... but facts are facts, that's what he's gotta deal with sometimes.

You put Warner at he helm of this offense today and the ball gets out much quicker. He's not looking to make the big play every time. He also will throw the ball away and live to fight another down. That's a very basic option that Romo still has yet to realize.. Although I know you would love to do so, I'm not making this an argument about TO. This is about who the better QB is right now. It's Warner. Period.

Let me clear this up for those that like to make every argument about TO...

Larry Fitzgerald today is better than TO today.
The sad thing is you can't say the exact same thing about Romo when compared to an aging Warner. Hmmm...

One could easily argue that, at the height of his career, TO was running circles around Fitz. One WR is going into the HOF while the other still has some work to do. You figure that one out.

I like Owens a lot, but I don't know many receivers in football not named Rice that have played at the same level as Fitz did last season and during the postseason. I always said Andre Johnson was the best WR in football, followed by Fitz, Steve Smith, Moss, Calvin Johnson, Reggie Wayne, Plax, and then Owens. But after the playoffs, hands down Fitz is the best in the game.

No Doubt. Fitz definitely stepped his game up and had a great year. Was it good enough for him to be mentioned in everyday conversation with some of the greats that have done it over their careers? That would make a good argument at this point in time.
