Actually I think it is more like if he is unable to play (i.e. injured) he does not travel with the team. Bledsoe and Henson both traveled to Seattle and neither played...same for several other players. Since Owens is practicing but is being held out because Parcells feels that he is simply not ready then he could very well travel with the team and may even suit up. I wouldn't read too much into it either way.

Parcells has a policy about injured players traveling to games, as has already been discussed.

But what BigDFan5 didn't fully point out is that it is already published that he's not traveling to Shreveport.

per the DMN blog:
