In primetimes "prime" (no pun intended) Prime would dust him off. Prime had world class speed and quickness, upper body strength, and verticle out of this world.

Primetime in a runaway.

I would say TO for the mere fact that the only thing Deion has over him is speed. Everything else I would say TO has the advantage. Deion was never much for physical and TO would be able to throw him around pretty easily.

Upper body strength? :laugh2:

I will bet anything TO could out jump Deion. First off TO is 2 inches taller. Second he has 20 pounds on Deion and it is pure muscle. In a jump ball situation TO wins. I wouldn't underestimate TO's quickness either I have never seen a receiver his size have that sort of explosive quickness.

How did Deion fair against Irvin in the 94 Championship game?

Michael Irvin handled Deion Sanders pretty well.

The key to beating Deion is to outmuscle him and to have a quarterback who throws strikes like Aikman did.

I remember the 41-17 beating the Cowboys delivered the Falcons on Monday night in 1992. Irvin so thoroughly beat Sanders that PrimeTime picked up a bench on the sideline and threw it.

If TO is the wide receiver and Tom Brady is the quarterback, give me TO.

If TO is the wide receiver and Aaron Brooks is the quarterback, give me Deion.

Good post and example

Its funny that this is posted. I was going thru some of my older game tapes last night and watch a 96 matchup between the boys and 49ers featuring this very matchup.

Primetime wins!

I completely disagree. Primetime would snab 2 to 3 int's per every 10 passes thrown, and defense atleast 4 of those, and TO would score once, IMO.

It was the 94 season not 96.

I think he's talking about Deion (as a Cowboy) matching up against TO (the 49ers wide receiver).

Is that correct?

My bad thought he was talking Irvin Deion.

TO was a rook in 96 right?
