I think that you should "completely forget about him". It's clear to me that the Cowboys organization has. His placement on IR was simply a "pay him for the season and be done with it" kind of a move. It wasn't as if he suffered a serious injury or there weren't weeks of "issues" going on between him and the team.

His time with the Cowboys is over. It's just a matter of waiting until the first available date to quietly cut him.
