What type of experience to expect tailgating with an RV at cowboys stadium? Has anybody here done this regularly. I'm thinking of stopping and trying it this season as I pass through Texas. The RV would be 37 feet long.

Tailgating is limited to certain areas and on the edges of the parking lots. A 37 foot RV may be tough though.
Even though tricks and trailers they pull take up room too.
Probably should check with them to get any details on it.

There are RV specific spots for tailgating. As far as the experience, it depends on your expectations... If you're expecting something that you'll find in Green Bay, KC, or Buffalo, you'll be very disappointed. It's just your standard fare tailgating, mostly because there are so many rules regarding where you can actually tailgate, only about 15% of the parking spaces available are allowed to tailgate.

Tailgating is discouraged here in the DFW. Instead of the RV, I suggest getting a S550 or new 7 series, some nice loubotin shoes and sunglasses. Valet park and grab a couple of martinis. Then go upstairs and chat about random stuff to the person next to you while he's trying to watch the game.

That's how it goes

Down here in Houston tailgating is awesome and there are RVs parked everywhere...at least that's how it was the last time I went to RNG Stadium.

It was the only good thing going there.

Don't know about Jerry's Palace.

My dad, best friend, and I took an RV to the playoff game in 1996 against the Vikings at Texas Stadium. They parked us with the buses and made us pay the same $100 parking fee that the buses with 50 people on them had to pay. $100 probably does not sound too bad considering what you have to pay to park a car at the new stadium. However, I can only imagine what Jerry might be charging now. The tailgate scene is not all that at the new stadium. Save your money and take a car.

The RV lot looks pretty rough and is a bit of a hike from the stadium.

You're better off tailgating with a car, SUV, or pickup truck in the regular tailgating lots, IMO.

It doesn't cost nearly $100 to park at the new stadium, either in official or unofficial lots.

I was being sarcastic. However, it is not cheap to park a car at the Cowboys' new stadium. I looked it up on the Dallas Cowboys' website and it cost $150 to park an RV in Silver Lot 14. Not as bad as I thought since we paid $100 about 20 years ago.

Yeah, Silver Lot 14 is pretty far away. If someone's got money like that, then $150 is worth it if you're throwing a huge tailgate, IMO.

There's a great tailgating scene there, too. Always able to get free beer and GREAT food when I've been.
