take 6 starters out of any other team, then tell me the results....take the Tampa DL starters out...take the top 2 WRs out and then what will happen to them?

lets do the same to Rams, take out their starting DL, Cooper Kupp and Beckam.....what do they have?

lets do the same to AZ, lets see how they fair in a 4, 5 game span.

I am not an apologist. I am not making excuses, but reality is we are missing over 6 starters and to expect the team to play at the same level is just not realistic.

add to it the OL shuffle, yeah, lets do that to them as well.

I am as disappointed as anybody else about the recent 1-3 record. but lets see where we are, how we play 4-6 weeks from now when we get everyone back. lets see what happens when we get cooper, CD, Gallimore, Gregory, Lawrence, zeke back...

yes, every team has injured players and lot of them playing through injuries, but 6 key starters is difficult to overcome....and unlike a few, I don't expect to see a high level of jump in play when they return, it will take a few games to acclimate them and get them back in football shape and rotation....

No excuses and next man up. Bench strength in any team sport is vastly underrated to the overall success during a long season.

When faced with adversity regardless of profession...you adapt and do the best you can. Football is no different.

Go Cowboys!

No question.....but the ability to stay healthy is a big part of winning vs losing in the NFL.

It’s pretty clear losing that many players (70 million?? Of our slavery cap) is a legit factor in those losses.

Man, I know you’re a certified Dak apologist but have some shame. So now we are not going to win even when players come back?

pathetic

That’s why you pay Dak elite QB money. To not carry the team and overcome adversity.

Because football is a game about everything being optimal and not overcoming adversity.

But take 1 Dak out and the system can still win games.. Funny how that works.
I like how you included “can” in order to cover yourself, so you don’t look TOO foolish.

This team would be complete garbage if Cooper Rush was our QB for 17 games, but please continue pretending otherwise so the rest of us can laugh at you.

Sound post with logical reasoning given.

There is unfortunately no tomorrow for this year's team and the opportunity before them.

While I agree with your assertion that an acclimation period should be expected upon return for these starters full impact to be felt, I feel the timeline of this period needs speeding up drastically. Even to the point of immediate unfortunately.
There really is no time to waste now.

As I responded in CouchCoach's Excuses vs. Reasons post, the patterns of unavailability to several of these starters has existed for some years and will continue to do so.

Meaning that next year and another year older and Tyron, Cooper, Gregory, Lawrence and now possibly Zeke and Collins will not improve imo but only return back to these guys missing games with nagging injuries or possibly off field indiscretions.

So it's not an "I disagree with your post" response but how THIS year's team responds to a soon to fully healthy roster that is at stake.

In other words and in my humble opinion its THIS year or bust. Now or never.

just another opinion

Was Troy Aikman an elite QB?

How would Troy Aikman have played when the OL was leaky, Emmitt was getting stuffed and his top 2 WRs were out?

***These questions will be ignored or deflected***

Cooper could’ve definitely carried us to 1-3 over this last 4 game stretch.

Just like last year with Dalton having a higher win percentage.

Dak is just a system QB. Sure he can run the system way better than those guys but a hit to the system and Dak is getting you similar results to QBs who are terrible.

I asked about 17 games, Bozo, not just the last 4.

Lets see how Mr Elite Rodgers does today against LA, I believe they are down 3 starting O Lineman-David Bakhtiari, Elgton Jenkins and Josh Myers

Their whole left side of the line including the best left tackle in the league (last year) and a pro-bowl guard.

Pretty much impossible they can win under those circumstances right?

He’ll try to carry his team to victory and won’t disappear for 3 3/4 quarters.

He is a guy that carries his team. Especially through adversity.

Our guy is not that type. He’s a system QB that goes down with the system.

Win or lose Rodgers will be impacting the game for 4 quarters with whatever adversity you put in front of him.

Heck no Rodgers can walk on water, can win with his second string or even with only 10 players, he can put the whole game on his back and win.. I guess we will see.
