It's all good when you win but when you start losing players show how they really feel. I've been saying for a while now that there are major problems with this team and its something that only shows up if they start losing.
1. Comp. There is none here. If player A outperforms player B but player A doesn't have the pedigree player B has then no matter how good he plays he's going to sit. Roy Williams vs Patrick Crayton. Felix Jones vs Marion Barber. Doug Free vs Mark Columbo/Flozell Adams at Minn. Ken Hamlin did absolutely nothing here but Alan Ball never was given a chance. The biggest travesty was the Miles Austin situation last year. Yes, he was injury prone but every time he was healthy all he did was kill it out there on the field but it took 250 yards and 3 tds to change their minds. The vets are comfortable.
This will ruffle some feathers and deserves a new paragraph, who has been our most consistent running back when given a chance to play? Tashard Choice has. This is the move that would take some grapefruits but Tashard is like Pierre Thomas, he can do it all and MOST IMPORTANT is a leader that everyone seems to like.
2. The QB. You can argue this left and right but Romo does play favorites. Once Witten goes out Sunday all of a sudden Bennett catches 7 balls? I know it was for 45 yards but 7 catches is like half a season for him. I know on one play Sunday there was a four man rush and Witten ran a one yard out and Bennett went free down the post. As soon as Romo got the ball he looked right and immediately came back left and threw it out to Witten for a yard, Bennett was jumping up and down because Romo didn't even give the play a chance.
3. The gutless offense playcalling. Here's a quote from the preseason from Jason Garrett on Dez Bryant "Wait till we get down to the goaline and have this guy go one on one with his hands; we are going to win every time." We haven't tried one fade to Dez and besides at the end of the Commander game he hasn't even seen the field inside the 20. Also, out of 98 passes only maybe one has been attempted over 35(guessing.) Romo has lost his swagger and is more of a corporate qb now. He's more concerned about checking it down then letting the play develop a bit longer once in a while. I know he can't be wild but were never going to win the Superbowl or get into the playoffs if he's playing like he's neutered.
