They will be releasing him according to some sources, would you take a chance on him?, Use him on pass rushing situations maybe he can be what he was supposed to be by going to another team and reborn is career. Remember, You can never have enough pass rushers...just a thought guys don't go all crazy bashing me lol..it's worth a look and a camp body, if it works he stays if he doesn't...see ya!:starspin..GO COWBOYS!!!

Sure if we can get him for ham sandwich.

This guy is one the biggest let downs ever.

I'm sure someone will overpay for him but it won't be us.

I won't mind checking him out but he stunk in the other Ryan's system which is pretty much what we're going to run.

So why wouldn't he stink in ours? Think I remember hearing he was in Rex's dog house also. The Ryan's are big on one another's opinion of players.

I doubt Gholston ever wears our uniform.

Guys he is a defensive end, not linebacker. They moved him to DE and he played much better than he played at backer.

I would take him in a heartbeat at DE if the price is right.

Rob, just like his brother Rex and his father Buddy, desires mean, hard nosed, tough football player for his defense. Vernon isn't mean, hard nosed, or much of a football player. I can't see any member of the Ryan family making a move to get a player like that on their team.

No. He would simply be taking up a roster spot that could be used for a more useful player.

No. Plus I doubt that Rex offers a positive recommendation to Rob about him. With that said, He prob ends up in Baltimore/New England and becomes a beast.

In what quantifiable way did he play better at DE?

They moved him to DE because he wasn't good in coverage and had problems diagnosing plays. He wasn't effective playing DE and holding the POA at 6'3" 260. The biggest criticism of him is that he doesn't display any instincts.

He's not a bum, he's just not a good football player.

Played much better?

:laugh2:

We've already taken a chance on Sean Lee, who imo, is a bust so far because he's made of glass. When he's on the field, he's a beast. No more "chances".

Actually he asked to be moved to DE since he was gettin no reps at OLB. I don't know if he played any better after the move but I'm sure taking coverage out of his list of responsibilities helped.
