You have 4 comp picks coming up in 2025 for losing Fowler Armstrong Biadasz & Pollard . Three 5’s & a 6 . Bundle a few together to get back into round 4 and salvage the Mingo trade by grabbing a developmental QB to challenge in 2026 Kyle McCord Syracuse . Or do our board experts believe he will be gone by then ?

The scouting report touts quick trigger release accurate he’s not Mobile but play action suits his game . He sounds like a perfect student for Schott & Klayton Adams the OC . Have him learn in 25 as QB3 with an eye on training camp 2026 QB2 give Dak pause when he’s either ineffective or hurt, man needs a challenge . Let either Lance or Rush leave now, assume Lance.

I mean I do want a 4. I haven't really scouted QB this year but we should look into developing someone if we don't sign a decent backup.

I'd rather move up for falling RB or other talent in 4. There's going to be good d line, o line and maybe some safeties and TEs there due to the depth of the class.

The 5th rd comps won't be enough to jump up a rd. Teams want a 3rd pick in 2026 to give up their 4th rd selection.

I know it’s not the end all be all, but the 3 5th comps we have = 67 according to the trade value chart. That gets us a middle(ish) 4th round pick back around pick 114. Not saying it’s the best use of resources, or that it should be done, but I think getting back into the 4th is definitely a real possibility.

If we traded our actual 5th + 2 of the comps it would get us closer to pick 109/110 (in terms of value). I could see a team with multiple 4th round picks being enticed by that, but who knows

You have a point . What if you traded 2 5th rounders you have 4 of them plus a 6 this yr and another 5 next yr . That’s a total of three 5’s and a 6 to move into this years 4 .

I remember last year Jerry said he couldn't move up cause teams wanted a rd higher future pick and weren't interested in moving back.

Using the comp picks to come back in the 4th for a RB would be awesome IMO!
Cannot wait that long to address the RB position, has to be addressed by rd 3. Then you see players who don't really move the needle at the position.

The odds of a fifth rounder making the team and being a real contributor are much less than a fourth rounder. And same with sixth and seventh rd picks. I would not be averse to using all the fifth and lower picks in trying to move up.

its not just about points; our pick is in the first half of the rd and is more desirable beyond the points consideration

If Dallas doesn’t draft a QB in a yr say rounds 3 or 4 no later to develop you constantly have Rush ( keeps you afloat ) or Lance ( who knows ) …I’m sorry but Dak Prescott needs to look over to the sidelines and at some point in his career see a young viable challenge .

McCord isn’t mobile but quick release and accuracy plus play off of play action can make him the perfect project for Schott & OC Adams .

You have 4 comp picks to trade some of to move back to 4th round

Maybe, maybe not. Depends on how the board falls and what we do in FA.

This team needs cheap controllable talent/players - giving up all the 5ths to move up one round doesn't make sense.
I'd rather hope that they can find/luck into a hidden gem with multiple tries in the 5th, than just 1 in the 4th

RB,DT,DE are all pretty deep and are all positions of need - good chance there is some talent in the 5th at these positions to be had

I would use the 4th round pick on a developmental QB and hope I bought a winning lottery ticket.

In an ideal draft rounds one & two are for the defense rounds three & if you can get back to 4 both on offense . Rest of the draft has to go majority defense . Maybe an OL pick day three for development depth .

If we are picking an RB in the 4th round we will be picking from scraps.I think all the top RBs are going to be picked earlier and more often than in previous drafts.
If Jeanty is there at 12 he's the pick. If Jeanty is off the board at 12 I am hoping Hampton is there in the 2nd round.

I’m high on the McCord kid but haven’t researched where all the draft pundits have him going. If it’s not him, I hope the clowns in the draft FINALLY start to put some stock in the most important position on the field. Just give the fans a glimmer of hope. For me, replacing Dak falls right after hiring a competent GM and we all know that’s never happening.

what do the 4 QBs in the championship game have in common?

Matter of fact, 6 or even all 8 depending on how you view Stafford and Goth (both of which were mobile coming out of college) have what in common?
