Cause this team just flat out stinks!! Even though coming into the season I was not exspecting greatness but this team is a flat out embarssment on both sides of the ball and in ALL phases of the coaching staff...Wade can not get his unit to get a key stop and Red coming off two fade passes in the end zone thinks two more exact same plays against a top CB in the end zone are going to work!! Its time to take out the trash and clean this house up...cause frankly it stinks!! I don't have enough fingers or toes to single out just one or two players but watching this team reminds me of watching the boys in the late eighties when their playoff dominance and the Landry era was coming to an end...sure there is talent as there was back then...but just like that team this team had its chance and is starting to fall apart..Mike Roe...a dirty job is calling you!! Back up the dumpster and start over cause this team just does not get it!!

This team is 2-2 and all of its losses have come from teams that are undefeated.

You would think we are Detroit with some of these posts.

Honestly, the only people that are upset are those that probably bought into the Super Bowl or Bust hype.

Quite a few prominent people predicted we will be mediocre this year.

Sad that the thought of the 1-15 1989 team comes to mind. Never thought we would be comparing this team to that one, but here we are....playing like the 1989 Cowboys.

Unlike the 1989 Cowboys, who was starting with a New Coach and lots of draft picks and hope for rebuilding...this team well, just keeps playing the same old busted record...hiring the same type of coaches, drafting scrubs, no heart or drive to win, and generally letting the entire fan base down for 13 years and counting.

I picked the boys to go 7-9 or 8-8...so I did not by into any hype..frustrated at the overall lack of heart this team shows and the obvious shortcoming of the entire coaching staff..and for the record I was thinking more of the 85-87 team not the 89 team...maybe I just wanted to be wrong about my 7-9 8-8 prediction and that is why I am so frustrated..

I didn't think we would be a great team before the season started but I thought we would be one of the 10 best teams in the league. Knowing that we have been a fast starting team and a slow finishing team doesn't make me feel very good about our prospects this season.

Here are a couple things that I would like to see happen/am disappointed with.

1. I think everyone agrees that Romo is better moving around outside of the pocket but I see very few play action passes or roll-outs where I think he would be much more effective.

2. Where is Marty-B? All I heard all off season was how this kid was going to have a break-out season. he has been invisible. On the final play of the game I would have rather had him out to the left one on one against anyone they had rather than Hurd against Champ Bailey....those are not good odds.

3. Where the hell is D-Ware? Wade needs to find a way to get him moved around, overload his side with blitzers, etc....mix it up to get him to the QB. He is in his prime and having probably the worse season of his career.

4. We need to pound the rock and use play-action off of it. Even when things are slow sledding, you need to stay committed to the run game. Especially when the QB is obviously having an off day. We should have ran the ball 10 more times yesterday. I think that things would have started to open up for us if we had.

5. We are way too predictable on Offense. We need to mix things up better than we are now. I can call what play we are going to run from the seat on my couch. That being true, the other team sure as hell has a good idea what is coming at them. these are not the early 90's team where we could run whatever play we wanted even if the other team new it. Not even close.

6. I have said it a thousand times and I will say it again. The lack of tackling in the pre-season is directly resposible for our lack of good tackling all season. The run after the catch by marshall yesterday was a prime example. We need to put on the pads and tackle in practice. You practice like you play and play like you practice. We don't tackle in practice and as we can all see, this team doesn't tackle in the games either.

Gonna be a long season I am afraid.

...i would've preferred Stafford yesterday...

...mediocre is what Dallas was last year...

Another in a long line of ridiculous posts. I have some 1989 games on DVD. Care to watch a game and tell the difference?

C'mon guys. This team has its holes and obvious defenciencies but we're not THAT bad. We lost to arguably the best team in football on a last second FG and we lost to a good team on the road by 7 in a difficult place to play.

I think maybe expectations are/were too high. This is an 8-10 win team

Your too optimistic, we will not win that many games. Our defense is still #26 in the league...our ofense is sporatic...we can outscore bad teams, but we will lose to average or better teams.

A board like this allows people to express their opinions, whether you agree or not....or whether you think we are all ridiculous. I know a lot of people continue to see the glass as half full, but after 13 years of this pollyanna crap -- I am not buying it anymore.

Thnx for calling me prominent:D It's about time I got some respect around here. On a serious note you are correct, people like Emmitt are called names around here by the Zoners who know more than they do.

It's funny stuff I tell ya.

And the reason for that prediction is because Jerry decided to bring back the mediocre coach and staff. And Jerry the below-mediocre GM opted to fill the WR corp with backups like Crayton, Hurd, Austin and Ogletree - among his plethora of horrible decisions over the years.

This is a team that when BP left was young and talented and poised to make a run.

Now we're mediocre and are supposed to be happy about it.

There's a lot of valid criticism to go around, but saying this team is mo better than the 1989 Cowboys, then yes you are being ridiculous

Thats kind of funny you mention that considering Dallas, more specifically Keith Brooking/Mike Jenkins had THE defensive play/stop of the game...

What I don't understand is.... WHERE ARE WE SUPPOSED TO GET OUR 6 LOSSES? I see time and time again these 'realist' Cowboy fans predicting we go 10-6, 9-7 and squeak into the playoffs. We get our first 2 losses from undefeated teams, one of which is a great defensive unit, the other of which is ranked as the best in the NFL, and people still find a way to claim the sky is falling.

WHEN ARE WE SUPPOSED TO GET HOT? Havn't we seen enough big play in September to realize that it's pretty much pointless in the grand scheme of things, at least for us? Some of you seriously need to get your heads checked, after you manage to pull them out of your *****.

Yep, there is absolutely no comparison.

Heck, the 2004 team under Vinny was better than the 1989 Cowboys.

LOL LOL LOL for those predicting 7-9 or 8-8 !!! If you honestly think this than you should have already been shouting for this Coaching Staff to be canned because there is more talent on this team than 7-9 or 8-8. If there were good Coaches in Wade and Garretts positions this team could easily go 10-6 and make the Playoffs but the primary reason we will probably be sitting at home come Playoff time is because Jerry is failing to admit his mistakes and can both of these idiots.

And you can back this up with what?
