I love me some blue jerseys. They look awesome. I like these and the ones they wore in the early 90s as well.
This was not a pretty game. Our defense was lackluster....the one turnover we forced was taken away by a bogus penalty. Our run defense was porous at best. Our pass rush was not all that great, but we did hit Leftwich quite a lot today. We left their receivers open a lot, thank goodness they can't catch very well.
Offensively, Romo was just a bit off in the first half. Our running game was solid....but without the passing game, we were kinda stinkin it up....at least until that last drive of the first half. Then in the second half, Romo found his stride. We dominated their defense. I loved seeing all the big plays on offense. TO who?
My biggest issue with the offense was trying to attack Barber in the first half. In the second half we attacked the Talib and the other DBs and we were quite successful.
Our special teams was special today. It was good to see this unit play so well for once.
All in all, there were lots of mistakes, but also lots of great things to build on. We are 1-0 and have a home game.
