Make Parsons 350 LB and put him at NT. The next Vita Vea.

I don't think weight is the issue. I watched Jason Taylor for years play as low as 240lb and still be a good two way DE. And he was taller than Parsons.
This 100%. Jason Taylor was an outstanding 4-3 DE at 240# who rarely came off the field. I think Parsons needs more functional strength to hold up better.

Would you then be comfortable with him being a full time DE, he goes from 240ishi to 270ish, how would he then be against the run/pass? A freak like him, i'm not sure that he looses any quickness. Please give your thoughts.
Please stop… 30 lbs on a guy that’s a tweener between mlb/de. There isn’t one team in the entire nfl that would do that. There isn’t a coach in the entire history of the nfl that would suggested something like that…

IMO they are shortening his career by making a 245lb obvious 3-4 OLB play the position a 270lb dude should be playing. By week 10 he's spent. He would have to be roided out of his mind to game 30lbs of muscle. And if it aint muscle it would just slow him down.

I have to wonder if it's that and that he goes 110% every snap. Just going 100mph every snap may just wear him down.

LVE got grilled on here for that pre-season quote about not every play was Micah's to make. Maybe there's some truth to that in why Parsons appears to lose steam in the 2nd half?

Makes zero sense to suggest this wouldn't affect his quickness, and it makes zero sense to negatively affect his speed and quickness by bulking him up beyond what is natural for his body.

He was best as a 3-4 OLB. Taylor was a taller long armed guy too.

Agree, if Micah must stay at edge, he must be bigger and more powerful at the point. Otherwise, he gets washed and bullied. He won't last very long physically.

if there’s a good rotation you can go 100% every play. If you know you aren’t getting subbed as much as you may need then you absolutely must pace yourself. would be interesting to know if he’s given a pitch count so he knows how to pace himself.

Taylor was a 4-3 DE his entire first stint in Miami. When he won DPOY he was a RDE and his peak year of 18.5 sacks he was also a RDE.
He was part of the Armstrong-Bowens-Gardner/Chester-Taylor front 4 in the early 2000's.

Parcells/Ireland traded him when they arrived and converted the defense.
When he came back in 2009 he was the other OLB with Wake and Joey Porter.
