The Math section was quite easy for me. Got a perfect score.

No, I was responding to you saying that weak programs don't require it. That's not always the case.

I don't know what the OP is doing, but it wasn't really what I was responding to.

Besides, even if some of the elite schools don't require it (such as the MFA ones I mentioned), lots of strong ones still do, so taking it is always a good idea imo.

You are right. I should have said that if the GRE was ***relevant*** to the course of study then the best schools are going to place great emphasis on it. Obviously a test places great emphasis on English and math skills is far less relevant to MFA admission than say, admission in the social sciences.
