Talent

Just a note on that. Richie Whitt in the postgame show kept saying that we dominated all day but somehow managed to blow it... And then kept citing Romo's passing yards.

But turnovers are the most important stat there is. Everyone knows it, or should know it. And no team turns the ball over three times and wins. Adam or Rich would have the numbers, but I bet it's seriously about 10% of the time that a team can do that and win -- maybe less.

Bingo. I've said it for years, but with most football fans you are preaching to the deaf. There is a reason why a guy like Brett Favre is not a multiple Super Bowl winner. He hurts his team in big situations. Simple as that.

I am not equating Romo with Favre, or suggesting he is as loose with the football. My only point is that STATISTICS are not the measure PEOPLE. It is WINNING. We have to win games.

No one disagrees with this. It's not as if I'm doing cartwheels because we gained 511 yards today or outlined Tennessee by 200 yards.

My point was more that any team can put up tons of yards and probably TDs by throwing it every down.

But that doesn't mean they'll win a lot of games.

Yes, Dallas has talent.

Ranked #2 offensively in yards they get/Ranked #8 defensively in yards they give up.

I don't disagree with your point, and to my mind, my point goes hand in hand. People love their statistics, but winning is the measure.

We have talent in all the "sexy" positions but are below average everywhere else. This team desperately needs some ILB and safties that can make a play. This bend but don't break defense will get us nowhere.
