It's Derek, Mickey, Dennis and Broaddus. The girls are off the show right now and I haven't been this locked into a discussion despite listening to both separate shows every day. A lot of good points about the game yesterday. Worth a listen.

Sounds to me like you have an issue with girls. You think female comedians aren't funny too?

Sigh. Im not sure if this is sarcastic or not.. But in the event its not, no. I do not "have an issue with girls" i, like many others on this board who watch the shows believe kelsey and sydney, while im sure are lovely people, do not offer much in terms of insight to the football talk. I would have included ed cahill but hes no longer here. I guess next time l name names instead as not to "offend" or confuse anyone... Clear it up for you?

Sounds to me like you're blindly assuming he has a problem with all 3 billion girls on Earth and not the TWO girls that he referred to in his post.

You said "the girls are off the show" as the immediate prelude to " I've never been this locked in."

I don't blame your dissembling though.

I also wish that people that tried to put an alternate explanation would at least attempt to demonstrate how it precludes the other argument. What you are saying is not mutually exclusive if anything someone with a probalem with females sportscasters would say that they don't know what they are talking about just like they say female comedians are not funny. I put that line there with your rebuttal already in mind.

I have heard Charles talk intelligently about cover 1, 2, 3 and man as well as sliding pass protection. Route running from Dez, stats etc. She works hard and sits in film sessions with Brian and is learning. You can tell it is still a work in progress. She says ' something should be said about that" which speaks to me of a person that has learned the who what where and when but still has why as a work in progress. That is just a normal learning curve.

Perhaps she is trying harder and making efforts. I happen to find derek, nick, bryan and even mickey more insightful. Difference in opinion i suppose.

Sydney needs to be sitting next to her and taking the notes. Don't care if you're a man or a woman you should have a level of competency and understanding of the subject matter you're on the air for, even if she is a demographic hire.

Doesn't mean she's not great to look at but that's not what we're here for -- mostly.

She is a cheerleader and goes and does cheerleading stuff. Now I get that Charles is in marketing but outside of the East plaza but outside of TC and draft time she is going to have a lot more free time. She doesn't have USO appearances, TV spots, and daily practice.

I think people's main issue with Sydney is a big reason why a lot of men are frustrated with women: she doesn't talk about objects and the like but rather she talks about how she feels. It's being romantic as opposed to empirical but Laughenburg does it a LOT too and you don't see his twitter feed slamming him with descriptions of how much of an idiot he is because he said he didn't like something.

I just see a lot of people reacting to stereotyped gender roles. If the show would go Howard Stern and identify her as a the vacuous cheerleader then she would be celebrated I bet.

Not really, mostly just ripping Weeden.

yeah, i was really hoping he would have played a little better than he did. Arizona does have a good defense but still would have liked to see better play than that.

Mickey started the show, but did not finish it. Wonder why?

I totally agree with you. Best football talk I have heard on that show.

Recap

-Steve Dennis believes that tony will play against Jags

-When Murray has to run straight hes more hesitant, hes a better cut and run runner

-Weedens performance forces the team to almost rush Tony back, If Weeden had played well team may have considered letting tony rest against Jags.

-Dez fighting the ball throughout, Dennis used the term "dez friendly" which weeden was not and Romo is

-Weedens issue was locking into first read and staring receivers down

-Broaddus talks about the punter costing field position battles and being a problem

-If Romo comes back concern is 3 back injuries may catch up, Now you have seen the other option and its not good enough to get you through.

-Caller compares Cowboys WR to Pitt WR, Eatman goes off. Says they dont have those WR. Talks about speedsters which the cowboys have none of. Nobody to take the top off the Defense.

- Broaddus says when people dont want to bash team, they bash coaches. For 6 weeks of winning streak nothing wrong with coaches but now not the feeling. Group agrees.

-Eatman talks about criticism of coaching staff adjustments. Mentions Boys being outscored in first quarters, yet Boys outscore teams in the 3rd. Adjustments must be working

-Injuries to the O-Line very impactful

-Beasley to short for Qbs to see (not trying to be funny)

This is off the top of my head, feel free to add for anyone else.
