You got it
Happens to the best of us lol. I've had my share.
You got it
The problem isn't the run game. The problem is teams aren't scared to stack the box because we aren't pushing the ball past 10 yards. No threat of a passing game and running the same vanilla run plays over again is the problem.
Getting Dez back will change all that. Nothing is wrong with the OL, 5 blockers trying to cover 8 men isn't going to work
Romo makes the entire offense better. Additionally, I believe another problem is the backs aren't that talented and one is an absolute moron.
They haven't looked up to their standards all season. If teams are stacking the box, and playing single high safety, the Cowboys need to counter by using their TE's and that FB they insist on keeping.
Oversimplification at its finest here.
I agree, our coaches need to do a better job adjusting especially after half time
I think that's clear. Weeden is what he is, a backup QB. If he were better than that, he'd be a starter. With Romo out, the rest of the offense needed to step up around Weeden and they haven't done that. This team believed it could rely on a superior offensive line and to this point, that offensive line has let them down.
That line, running game, and ball control also helped a less than stellar defensive unit last year as well. And that's not happening this year either.
They will be getting two star defenders back this week, but until the issues in the offensive line get corrected, I think this team will continue to struggle.
I'd like to see them start playing to their strengths, or at least what they feel is a strength. They kept 4 TE's and a FB on this roster and since they're not getting anything on the outside, I would do what I could go get the running game going.
What happens when Romo walks off the field for good? Our succession plan appears to be the wildcat.
That's why we got McFadden.
