The defense bailed McCarthy out at the end of the game. Not sure why he was throwing the ball 3 plays in a row with 6 minutes left and a 12 point lead. Than again on the next possession on first down. His end of game clock management is terrible.

On one hand the team is playing a lot better, but you have to question where these game plans were earlier in the season and why it took 8 weeks to figure out 4 stop routes on 3rd and 7 isn't a scheme.
You can't win getting 2 yards/carry. Rush had his best game as a passer.

And this is the problem. Garbage wins like last night just reinforce to Jerry that all is well, if only he could tweak things a little we will be in the SB next year
yup, it shows you the local media and who they are. They are Jerryites through and through. Comments like what Charlean says tells you THEY are a large part of what has ailed this team/culture. Shes sayng to ignore everything prior to this game lol...How the bar has been lowered round here.

He threw one TD. He's fortunate on a couple of potential INTs. The 2nd half was not very smooth.
He was getting rid of the ball fast, mostly out of necessity. He was a little better than adequate, but he surprised us with his long passes.

They got damn lucky the defense bailed his *** out. Could have easily lost this game at the end. First time ever the defense came thru.

I do my best to not be negative/cynical "all" the time and point out the positives when they do occur.
That was a good win over a good team.
Credit where credit is due.

True. The Buccaneers knew they could smother our running game, but the passing game kept them on their heels anyway.

Yes, Rush got lucky a couple of times, but most QBs do get lucky once or twice in a game.
Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good. Baker was the beneficiary of some good fortune last night as well.

It’s been fun watching the young guys play. Gain experience and confidence. I hope there is a good foundation to build on.

OK guys my favorite part of this win is not the Dallas Cowboys winning the game because it meant nothing to fans because we're out of the playoffs we're looking to the draft but Baker Mayfield the man who was a traitor who left Austin ,played for a Texas team ,and went to Oklahoma when he became the Oklahoma guy who started all the **** talking and the plant of flags in the center field that the controversy right now..

he was one of the first he was one of the ones doing these things in college but as a Longhorn fan him losing that game after talking in pregame about having 50 family and friends come to see him and how special this game was to him...

It literally made me giddy it's like an early Christmas present to have my Longhorns win on Saturday and have one of our most hated ex-ou players ever in baker Mayfield lose in front of his family and friends.

I'm sorry I'm the Grinch ,happy holidays baker Mayfield too bad you can't plant your flag on our field!

For me I know that every time Baker loses an Angel gets his wings lol

Just like he screwed up the Lamb and Parsons picks
Who would jerruh draft with the 1st pick???
So are you really proud of Tyler Guyton, Mazi Smith, Vander Esch, Taco Charlton, Byron Jones, Morris Claiborne, Bobby Carpenter, and Felix Jones just name a few?
Those I mentioned may have been good players picked in the 1st round by jerruh but their career in Dallas for one reason or another didn't make the Cowboys successful in the play offs.
Did Lamb and Parsons help us win last night? Yes, but I am guessing you might hate them for that because you want to tank??

The passing game was working. The running game?...8 yards for the game.
Who cares? At that point in the game it was about running the clock as much as anything, going 3 and out passing it 3 times was a gift to the Bucs and it almost cost them the game.

The guys played so hard and gave it their all, so it’s hard to not be happy for them. Good victory.
But we were set up to be sitting in draft slot 1-12 last night. Instead, we are back at 14-15.

They deserved the win as men.

Listen about Jerry Jerry doesn't make the decisions fully he uses his scouts and will mcclay makes most of these pics sure Jerry can overrule some but there's a reason some of his favorite players didn't end up here like Johnny Football yes Johnny Manziel he wanted him he was overruled a lot of these pics that you think he picked he picked because his coordinators asked him for them that's the fact this coordinators literally have came out and said yes we went to Jerry and said I'd like this guy over that guy and Jerry conceded some of it was will mcclay helping the scouting department saying these guys were better than they ended up being on the field so I'm not sure what you're trying to say we've had some very good drafts..

I understand they make mistakes but so does the rest of the league if it was that easy then how come teams that have been down for decades are still down the Cleveland Browns have not even won a damn division since 1989 how about we discuss how many first round picks they had over a 10 year. I remember when they were really bad somehow they ended up with three first round picks a couple years in a row they had two first round picks a few times and guess what they're still bad it's not where you pick in the draft so you might as well win as many games as possible so you don't let losing creep in you keep your team playing all the way to the end of the year and I know it doesn't carry over but in a way the mentality does carry over there's no quit in this team and they will find good guys in this draft but saying who he picked now we don't even know who's in the draft in the draft order right now..

It's futile to talk about the draft because we don't know who's gonna be picking where and until we see the combine and see what players might fall in the area we're picking we can't discuss who we might pick I think he's gonna take the best player available wherever we pick we have holes all over this team I don't think he can get it wrong this year because we're not picking in the bottom 10 or the bottom 5 we're gonna pick in the middle and there's a lot of good players those guys you just mentioned were picked right in the middle of the draft between 10 and 17 there are a lot of really good players that fall in that spot...

I don't think he can get it wrong I mean I don't want him to pick a running back at that spot but if they pick Jeanty at that spot is that wrong?

I mean as a fan I prefer a pass rusher or an outside linebacker that's a hybrid pass rusher or a wide receiver or an interior D lineman right there in the first round but I just don't think they can go wrong there because we have so many holes if you take the best guy on your board at every spot you're gonna be able to get a very good team built from the draft the holes we have if you add in all the injuries those players are coming back the depth we found I just don't think they can get it wrong this year I don't think they're gonna reach for anyone..

I don't think we fell that far but I don't think it matters you know how many good players are at that area we pick some of them CD lamb and Parsons there are guys like TJ Watt that has slid down to the bottom of the first round I don't think the Cowboys can get this wrong in my opinion because there's so many holes as long as they take the best player on their board no matter their position sands like a quarterback or something like that we don't need a tight end but there's gotta be a high level player at every pick if you just pick the right player it doesn't matter where you pick...

I keep telling people this 'cause I don't understand the philosophy I watch some of the worst teams in the NFL continue to be the worst teams in the NFL for decades regardless of how much money they spend and no matter how high their draft picks are a team like the Cleveland Browns I remember at least three years in a row had multiple first round draft picks I remember one year they had three and they still haven't won a division since 1989 explain how the draft and free agency somehow works for teams with regular GM's and ownership because it doesn't I'm talking about other teams too like The Jets and the Broncos and whatnot there are a lot of teams in this league like the Panthers and the Jaguars that continue to be below average there's so much worse than we are how is it you gonna stay here with a straight face and tell me the difference between picking at 10 or 15 is gonna change anything no you have to pick the right players you gotta make the least amount of mistakes in the draft where you make up for it with undrafted free agents you just have to have a solid offseason...

. Common sense creeps into this thinking hey the higher you pick the better the player that's gonna be there but we've seen guys like Aaron Donald CD lamb Parsons TJ I'll go from the middle to the end of the first round these guys are there you just have to pick them that's like you can't make the mistake and pick Taco over TJ Watt that was a mistake you can't do that in this draft..

The sliding down in the draft a few spots is not going to kill our team if you pick the right players we need so many players how can you pick the wrong 1 you just pick the best player on your board at every spot you don't reach for need because you need almost every position except for maybe tight end or quarterback I don't think you can go wrong...

They draft as well as any team.
